Carraigf
Hey folks, Jack and Vic have a new project with reaper minis available on kickstarter, or later from Vic minis direct:http://us5.campaign-archive1.com/?u=d96b5ba972bb3e2a70df47287&id=4d643ab34a&e=2a80164284 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/311226-how-about-this-for-a-basilisk/ Share on other sites
CoffeeGrunt
Man I love Victoria's work, hoping she releases this soon! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/311226-how-about-this-for-a-basilisk/#findComment-4124682 Share on other sites
WarriorFish
I think it'd work quite well, should be about the same foot print though the cannon is quite long. Cod
It's on kickstarter now https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1513061270/reaper-miniatures-bones-3-the-search-for-mr-bones/description Basilisk? Well it's a bit big maybe but it you wanted to why not. Cannon 29cm long! Probably better suited to a FW Heavy Artillery carriage with earthshaker cannon. Anyway the model and crew look so good I'm sure the rules you use will be secondary. I'm having a difficult time refraining from making a purchase, currently I'm working out postage lol. SW1
Looks like a cracking model and the crew would actually be nice addition to GWS kits. Hmmm ... But for some reason seeing this wants me to get off my backside and try scratch building some myself (bfg rather than the troops). Lol ... Need to keep the itch I scratched until I've finished my ETL vow. Keep getting sidetracked. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/311226-how-about-this-for-a-basilisk/#findComment-4124705 Share on other sites
Carraigf
Comes in at $45 with shipping for UK - so ~£26 - a battery of 3 would be ~£70 - that's a one whole GBP cheaper than a single Forge world earthshaker emplacement which makes it very tempting. Reminds me of one of the Guant's ghosts novels where the arch enemy had heavy guns running on rail tracks up and down along the front of their trenches, complete with autonomous ammo trucks. The carriage looks like a heavy goods bogie and sure I could scrounge up some scaled rail wheels from somewhere for it. Have a bad feeling this may lead to another armies on parade esque battle board ... oh my ... but have to finish my Finreht first Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/311226-how-about-this-for-a-basilisk/#findComment-4124748 Share on other sites
Castellan Cato
Comes in at $45 with shipping for UK - so ~£26 - a battery of 3 would be ~£70 - that's a one whole GBP cheaper than a single Forge world earthshaker emplacement which makes it very tempting. Keep in mind that Vic has said that the $30 kickstarter price is less than half of what retail will be. Carraigf
Good shout Cato, couldn't see a resin and plastic kit of this size hitting the shelves at less than £50 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/311226-how-about-this-for-a-basilisk/#findComment-4125011 Share on other sites
Marshal Argos
That is a lovely model, and I suppose that's why I backed the kickstarter. I'm just not really sure what I'll use it for. The Mini's are a different story, they would work great as part of a command team or even with some heavy weapon squads. I'm more afraid the the Artillery itself will either never see a battlefield....
