HsojVvad, I apologize if this steals any thunder. *End Disclaimer* So, with the release of AoS, the revealing of the Stormcast Eternals, and my just finishing Descent of Angels I have decided to convert the Stormcasts into Knights of Caliban. I just purchased the Starter Set and realized this is going to be a serious undertaking. THere is a lot of filing and scraping in my future to get rid of all of those hammers and lightning bolts. Here's the first model. I still need to figure out what I'm going to do with those scales... Maybe fill 'em in. I've built all of the models(12x Liberators w/ Hammer&Shield, 3x Retributors, 3x Prosecutors, Lord-Celestante on Dracolion, and Lord-Celestante on foot). Most don't have heads as I don't like the standard mask look, but the ones that are just weraing helmets have heads along with a couple others that I put DWK heads on. For example: It's about 75% done. Father Mehman Posted July 28, 2015 Share Posted July 28, 2015 He looks impressively massive! The fur on the lion looks very nice and the cloak highlights look well blended. The only critique I've got is the "Sigmar" banner on the lion's haunches. Maybe you could tell people it's an old Calibanite word or fill it in with Green Stuff, cover it with Abaddon Black, and then redo the banner. Good work ! Blank05 Posted July 28, 2015 Author Share Posted July 28, 2015 Yeah. I don't like that either. I tried to fill them with GS, but you could still see impressions, so i gave up and cleaned them out. Blank05 Posted August 6, 2015 Author Share Posted August 6, 2015 In that case, as a suggestion, you might want to get a hold of a Chimera from the fantasy line and use it's eagle head.
