Izlude
Hi guys, Ordered some stuff from forgeworld and find it hard to get my basecoat to stick. I ordered a Sicaran tank a few months back and recall how painful it was to get the white undercoat to stick. Someone mentioned I should use some primer before painting it. Any suggestions? Slips
Did you wash your resin? The release agent present on Forgeworld Kits means that you ABSOLUTELY have to do so beforehand or nothing will stick. Read up on FWs "Working With Resin" PDF. Its pretty good to getting anyone started! The Pounder
As Slipstream said, it's important to wash all components before applying an undercoat. I always use chaos black spray from GW that has always worked for me. Kilofix
Usually I have to scrub with a brush after soaking in detergent. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/311406-forgeworld-resin-primer/#findComment-4127384 Share on other sites
m_r_parker
After washing, I tend to use GW Purity Seal before applying an undercoat. Since I've started that I've never had a problem with painting peeling off my models. Absolutely wash your models, and give them plenty of time to dry properly - I leave them overnight between towels in an airing cupboard.
