Lord Pariah
o/ Now, I'm looking for to do a rather large (re)basing project. I rather like the citadel texture paints -heresy, I know- but I cannot shake the feeling that there is some bulk paint pot that I should be using. colour shouldn't matter but it should at least be as quick and easy to apply. or should i just buy the GW brand in bulk from dark corners of the internet? also those textured turf things, any better ones out there? 1000 Sons
I bought a big bag of white coloured sand from a craft shop and glue it to a base. If I need swampy then I put a green wash over it, desert seraphim sepia, mud reikland shade and it is fast, easy and works for me. GW's is more convenient since they come pre-colored, but they only offer one texture. Vallejo and other brands offer multiple textures in large tubs that are a better value, but you'll have to color them yourself. You can do this by simply mixing large amounts of paint into the tub, or you can simply use it like regular basing sand and then paint the color over the texture when it's dry.
