For starting HH

I normally play as Chaos in 40k. My daemons also carry over to WHFB and AoS. Now I see more popping up about HH going plastic (I don't buy forgeworld for financial reasons) and I have some questions to anyone who can answer.

For casual HH games does anything keep me from using my Fallen DA from the DV starter in HH? I have about 4 boxes worth. Also I have about 5k points of Deathguard consisting of termies and about 30 PM. Not to mention the 4 boxes of chosen from DV. Could those models translate over to HH too? Like I said this is just casual games for learning the rules with friends.

Also I have seen models like Samus and the new Nurgle GUO refer to playing as Chaos Daemons in HH. I think that implies I can use my CD codex with this system??? That seems pretty cool.

The first answer is, it depends.  Some people don't like playing against 40k space marines proxied as 30k space marines.  This probably won't be such an issue now that gw has the pastic hh stuff coming and the mk4 armour looks just like the current 40k armour.

The second answer is, Yes !  Daemons is now a regular 30k army choice.  You do need to use the FoC from hh though to make your army, and I'm sure there are a few other rules tweeks.  Shamus, and Scallywag (sp) the two new daemon fw characters are regular hq choices for a daemons army and do look awesome.

Good to know thanks. and pretty exciting if it becomes something I can get a pickup game for. I'm honestly getting a little tired of wracking my brain in preparation for combat against Eldar, Necrons and Tau as CSM.

So where do I find this HH FoC??

Its essentially the 6th ed FoC with +1HQ and +1Elites.

The 1d4chan 30k Article gives you some info. But for the actual rules, its the 30k Books. Betrayal (oldest), LA:CAL (Legiones Astartes: Crusade Army List) and Tempest (newest) all have it.
