Since the Space Wolves ended in disgrace to some extent, I don't know if keeping the name of their Primarch as the name of the tank is right?

 

I like the Imperialis tank though :)

I don't see how for 2 reasons. One, we don't know who found the STC or saved the Forgeworld and gets the honor.

 

Two, Leman is a Lost Primarch now. We can't use the name.

Close enough. Someone make sure he doesn't get into the Nerith. I've heard mixing meds and drink leads to horrible things.

 

Imperialis doesn't fit the established theme of Greek creatures used to name tanks. Something that is established in canon.

How about the Fenris Rex? Or the Ragnarok? That way it still has a nod to Russ but not necessarily obvious in universe to the public.

Ha! Indeed, apparently I like the Solar designation as well. Also I forgot about my two vehicle suggestions in that thread, but most likely we'll get Grav Rhinos soon anyway.

I haven't forgotten the old Jocasta. In fact there is a cool-looking Custodes Grav-tank that should be out soon-ish that looks like a great starting point ;)

Hm, yes. Also amused that Nemean was one of the suggestions offered back then too. 

 

Still, there's considerable debate about this. Perhaps a vote is in order?

Now that I think more about it, Nemean or Solar don't quite sound right. This is going to sound really nitpicky, but they're both adjectives, trying to take the place of a noun. Edited November 2, 2016 by drakzilla

Not sure that's so bad since the full name of a Leman Russ is a Leman Russ Main Battle Tank. I would think an adjective would suffice.

The Russ is, far as I can tell, the only main line tank to break that pattern.

I'd say it only breaks the pattern because it was named for Russ. Prior to that, they probably would have named it something along the lines of Nemean or Python or whatever.

So a scene with some Wardens of Light finally came into my head, prompting a couple of questions. Would some sort of quiet order lodges still exist among some Legions alongside the more public Lodges instituted by Alexandros, and would any of the Wardens participate?
