To elaborate, (now that I'm not on my phone) I thought adding Lance was weird, since I'm only use to seeing it as an Eldar ranged weapon. But the more I thought about it, the more it made sense to me. It allows Alex a 33% chance to damage any vehicle since he'll always be hitting at Str 7 vs. Armor 12 (at worst). Since no one else has commented, I'm guessing there's a general agreement of it's effectiveness.

So, what should the point cost be compared to Xiphos?

Or maybe we could make this thread adult only with id check, then we could live out our fantasies. ;)

About the lance. Just remembered the story of the lance of fate from christian mythology. "Coated in the blood of the lord, this lance grants eternal life to his wielder" what rhey didn' t tell is that the wielder was cursed to see all his loved ones die and he was granted the gift of foresight. But the bad foresight :)

He basically hits like 6 AP 1 bright lances if he charges something. Which I thought would be not too much for a Primarch, especially the Warmaster. He will actually hit the same as Horus vs an armour 14 vehicle, he's slightly less effective against lower armour vehicles than his counterpart, but he has a slightly better chance of destroying what he hits because of AP1. I'd say it's worth about ~30-35 points more than Xiphos in my opinion due to the extra strength and special rules.

So, does that push Alex into the 480+ point range? Im relived/surprised that we havent seen a 500 point Primarch yet :tongue.:

...not that its a challenge...

It pushes Alex right at 480 points....there's still the terminator armor, though.

Which is fine. Because by the final battle on Terra, Icarion will get his own boost from Chaos to fight the Warmaster, and we'll have Daemon Primarchs running around. So, Alex won't be the only one courting the 500 point zone.

In the prelim rules I wrote back for Sorrowsworn Morro on the Age of Heresy forum, I had Morro at 480pts; but he's pretty much in his late-Crusade Urien Rakarth warped stage at this point of rules writing.

So I'm sorry I've been absent...I've completely lost track of where this thread went to :P but I guess we're special now (looking at you Raktra...)

So is the plan still for me to a have a primarch and for him to be killed? I'm actually hoping to go down the route of eviiiiil with my legion, but more along the lines of just leave us the hell alone.

I'll get more details up soon enough.

Oooh, I can fall to Slaanesh, if that's a thing. No need to be different for the sake of being different. He's looking at creating a perfect being for his flawed self, rather than just being in the seeking of perfection. With the connection with Urien Rakarth, he could sacrifice the souls of his Legion for the aid of Rakarth in his fleshcrafting, and with Slaanesh being my god, Rakarth sees a way to save the Eldar at the expense of the humans.

Obviously depends on what Depthcharge would like with his dude, but if he wants to fall to Tzeentch, then I could "kill" his character, and then *just as planned*, his Primarch is reborn?

Don't think it's that easy to create a Daemon Primarch.

Not sure I like cutting down the number of Revolutionaries, but I don't see how the Chaos gods could avoid the temptation of grabbing a personal legion each.

Well, pre-BotL ideas for the Void Eagles included the Terrans never really accepting the changes, rebelling, and eventually murdering Yucahu, with the original Legion Master using specially engineered armour to fight on the same level. Now, we can either just have a twin-primarch situation, or, more interestingly, the Terrans joining the Traitor (and eventually Revolutionary) side, the Legion Master subjecting himself willingly to augmentation and "blank-ification" to get his revenge.

Another thing to note is that Yucahu is not voidborn, but was raised amongst sea-faring tribes on an archipelagic world, eventually developing airborne transportation, and spaceflight a few years before the Crusade reached it. If we take the twin-primarch road, the Voidborn could be one to turn to piracy while Yucahu leads regular navies, both pre- and post- coming of the Emperor.

Ultimately Mrun, it's up to you.

Hmmm splitting between terrans and non terrams would be the same as we already have in the end of the insurrection and would take the impact away.

And yes....I can't sleep

I'll go without the twin primarch idea, if it has a major effect on the overall story.  You guys seem to have everything wrapped up.  I'll have a watch of how you guys develop everything and work on my Legion.

Sorry for the slow replies, had to pick up extra work this month to cover people leaving/sick.  I really enjoy the colour schemes you guys have, and the threads you've all created are really cool.

I can definitely do Tzeentch...what if we both did Tzeentch?

That could be downright fun.

It's alright. And yeah, I didn't want to shoot you down, but you came in late into development.

Now, there are two other routes to become part of the project. And this goes for any other late arrivals.

This was suggested by Thorn (and dude, hope you don't mind that I'm throwing out this idea right now). While the Fabricator-General is still an important role that we may need to keep Hal there, we do have other High Lords of Terra that wield extraordinary power and influence. The Horus Heresy, as far as I know, doesn't make much use of them, but that doesn't mean we can't. Thorn has already called dibs on the Paternova.

Another option is the End Times. Now, I'm not guaranteeing this one right now because I don't want the project going past the Insurrection until the Insurrection is done. (Because, to be utterly blunt, I've not seen an Alternate Heresy project actually be finished, so I don't want to make promises we can't keep.) But, if we do get that far, the End Times will require a new batch of marine heroes. New legion/chapter masters (depending on what we do) and all kinds of open ground to get involved.

Depth, thanks for filling in the Tzeentch slot.

And no. If Tzeentch tried to grab two legions, it'd piss off the other 3 Chaos gods, and bring the Insurrection down via Daemonic infighting before Icarion could even hope to reach Terra. It'd be fun for the Loyalists, not so much for the Traitors.

And do you have a Primarch name?

Alexos slowly clasps his hands together, sitting in front of his mechanic display screen, a terran key pad in front of him with a servitor next to him holding his cafeine and sugar drink. He grins once, staring at his screen, starting a low rumbling laughter. Ending in the end of the laughter of a maniac. He slowly sips a bit of his cafeine drink "Good... Good... Good my brothers... Keep on choosing gods.. the god of change shall have many followers, the god of pleasure shall have a great son... Yes.. Very well.. Chaos undevided already has his son, only Icarion remains and the holy god nurgle and khorne.. Oh maybe my brother barbarian Raktra shall take khorne... Good.. My plans are in their works... soon" slowly continues listening to the ancient songs of the rap god Eminem, Alexos is happy, slowly clicking through the mexhanic entity that calls itself 'the internet'
