Spacefrisian
While in a hobby shop i saw this http://www.powertex-opleidingen.nl/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/inkt.png And from its description it seemed to do the same thing as a Wash (only taking longer to dry), but i wasnt sure what to make of it. So i wonder if anyone here has used this (or similar stuff) and if its something i could use instead of brushing on the regular wash. (btw, its a bit more expansiv than GW washes, so its not cheaper). Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/312004-ink-spray/ Share on other sites
Razblood
Wouldn't think a nozzle like that would produce a fine or focused enough spray to be used for our purposes. Teetengee
Unless you are doing whole model washes, which I have been known to do. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/312004-ink-spray/#findComment-4139336 Share on other sites
Lucien Eilam
They don't sound particularly well suited to miniature painting. Dylusions Ink Spray dyes are a high quality, acid-free, nontoxic concentrated colorant for porous surfaces. The Dylusions Ink Sprays’ bright and vibrant palette will colorize paper, Sticky Back Canvas, wood, paper clay and more. Use to create backgrounds, cards, scrapbook and journal pages, and in mixed media art projects. Spacefrisian
So it boils down to just trying and see what the results are? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/312004-ink-spray/#findComment-4140248 Share on other sites
Lucien Eilam
Yeah, but not anything you care too much about. Miniatures are distinctly non-porous. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/312004-ink-spray/#findComment-4140355 Share on other sites
Aspecti
I think those would be quite handy for painting terrain though. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/312004-ink-spray/#findComment-4140464 Share on other sites
Daevyll
Sounds like an alternative for the 'dunking method' of shading Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/312004-ink-spray/#findComment-4146424 Share on other sites
