march10k
Well...since my IG are actually the PDF of a DA recruiting world, the Unforgiven would probably prefer that they be...liquidated after any mission involving GK. That eliminates any chance of one of them coming back to the fold as an inquisition mole! CoffeeGrunt
Hmmm, would a Wolf Lord make good use of Rough Riders? He gets a tonne of ablative Wounds, they get a tank unit that allows them to get into combat....hmm... Sviar
I too use my Black Templar army as a support or in my latest game the other way around. A Lord to get them into combat. Yeah, they only get one go, but you could charge something. Bad against MSU but solid against high profile stuff. I just figured them wring at S5 I5 AP3 would be surprisingly complementary to the Wolf Lord, and at 11pts each they're pretty cheap. That said, they bring down the average Toughness, which sucks. Frater Cornelius
It does not affect the ID threshold, but it forces the Lord to each more wounds, which could be critical. I was thinking that the Wolf lord can bring his wargear fenrisian wolves AND attach to a unit of rough riders? Put the wolves in the front to soak up the initial shots (what can he buy like 4-6 wolves?) then still make use of the rough riders weapon for the charge, and hopefully wipe out that unit. I want a cheap and interesting looking way to make my SW and AM work together rather than people just rolling their eyes at another THUNDERSTAR Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/312009-whats-your-favorite-ally-for-ig/page/2/#findComment-4149061 Share on other sites
Frater Cornelius
He can also buy up to two. An Iron Priest can buy up to four of the more expensive ones. But at that point it is too many points invested in a one trick pony and better reserved for SM bikes or TWC, if you ask me. Ulrik_Ironfist
I like inquisition, for the cheap additional characters with psyker abilities and decent combat. I like the idea of sinking a TDA inquisitor with a psycannon into a Scion squad to tank fire and provide some psyker artillery. Dark angels and their formations are pretty good for support, ravenwing attack squadron can make a hell of a threat with the rerollable jink save, and the speeder granting them +1 BS at their targets.
