Aeternus
My local store is running a Armies on parade in a couple of months, and for part of my board, there will be a squad of Damned Legionnaires 'appearing' where/when they are needed. My current plan for their mini diorama part, was to have them surrounded by a medium height Ring of fire, however when looking online I can't find many guides to doing such an effect, and so the only idea I have yet is to buy a few of the Armorcast effects and, using them and a certain amount of GS, forge my own ring. Which brings me to the help part. Do you see this working? Do any of you know better, more realistic ways to do it? Can you get flaming effects from anywhere else? Or should I just get to work improving my GS skills and do the whole ring from that? Thanks :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/312040-flame-effects/ Share on other sites
Carlson793
Okay, not tutorials on flames, but they can be adapted to a ring of fire. Hirst Arts Fountain tutorial Hirst Arts Pool tutorial Basically, use a combination of clear fishing line and epoxy. The fishing line will act as a structure for the epoxy to adhere to. Add a touch of yellow and/or red ink to give the epoxy a 'flamish' color. Vary the lengths of fishing line for different height flames. Emperor's Fury
A buddy of mine did flames for his legionnaires out of clear resin and then used mini lights from Powered Play.
