Nomus Sardauk
The Jade General is Akuma? And very awesome. Man....nkw I have a pic to built him I'm not sure that's meant to be Jade himself, isn't he supposed to resemble Cao Cao from Dynasty Warriors? I reckon he's just a WoP Legionnaire showing off their armour designs, like the Forge World Legion kits. MikhalLeNoir
Maybe he had a facelifting? Â The first symbol is very similar to the hanja for jade. The second stands for yiban which means: general. So we have the Jade General here. Now gimme my drink Sanguinius. I won^^ Edited September 15, 2016 by MikhalLeNoir Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/312051-il-xvii-the-warriors-of-peace-thread-1/page/16/#findComment-4502869 Share on other sites
~Drakzilla~
^Ding ding ding! We have a winner! Â Yeah, I took some artistic liberties with the dynasty warriors concept. And by that I mean I didn't really use it. I tried to run with the overall Cao Cao-esque look, but in the end I went with something that I felt fit Jade's cold, analytical demeanor. I also think it's more in line with what a Primarch who calls himself "General" would wear. MikhalLeNoir
I like it. Â And his face could still look like cao cao. The armordesign is imho brilliant. You see the asian influence but it is not too much. ~Drakzilla~
Okay, I put a list of notable members of the legion in the Dramatis Personae thread, but here I intend to flesh them out. So here is part one:  Notable Members of the XVII Legion:  •[NAME UNKNOWN]: Primarch of the XVII Legion, The Jade General, Master of the Still Path, The Scholar After falling upon the planet Jin, the young primarch was taken into a monastery by the warrior-monks of the Sinae peninsula. There he learned the art of combat and studied the science and history of the Old Night. It was not long before he was recreating the lost technology of humanity's Dark Age and building weapons for the warlords of Jin. By the time the Emperor came, he had advanced the technology of his world tenfold and had united it under his banner, creating an empire founded on the ideal of human progress. •Lord Chancellor Zhukelion: Equerry to the Primarch, The Bronze General, The Sleeping Dragon Even as an initiate, Zhukelion showed great promise; his uncanny intellect and natural leadership ability allowed him to climb the ranks quickly, until he left behind his status of Centurion and became an Iron Monk. Many thought his rise would end there. But after serving as a monk for many years, the Jade General took notice of his wisdom and talents and personally elevated him to become his equerry and, later, supreme commander of the legion. As a follower of the ancient ways of Jin, his tactics are oft unconventional, yet he is one of the great strategic geniuses of the 31st millennium. •Qua Feng: 3rd Captain of the Warriors of Peace, King of the Southern Wind When the Jade General was uniting the world of Jin, Qua Feng was the child-emperor of a small kingdom renowned for its archers and crossbowmen. He pledged his allegiance to the General's cause and became an invaluable and loyal ally. When the Emperor came, Feng relinquished his titles and kingdom and became a humble follower of the Still Path, eventually rising back to prominence as a Praetor. Taskmaster Zhen: Lord Preceptor, Master of Initiation It is said that the only thing a Warrior of Peace fears is Taskmaster Zhen. One of the oldest members of the legion, Zhen has personally overseen the ascendance of thousands of initiates, and is infamous for his grueling methods of training, even by Astartes standards. Yet the mark of a Warrior trained by Zhen is easy to discern: they are possessed of a cold discipline, and under his watch, will not be found wanting. Nomus Sardauk
Don't forget Captain Ju-Long! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/312051-il-xvii-the-warriors-of-peace-thread-1/page/16/#findComment-4517457 Share on other sites
~Drakzilla~
Rest assured, Ju-Long will be in part two! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/312051-il-xvii-the-warriors-of-peace-thread-1/page/16/#findComment-4517464 Share on other sites
Nomus Sardauk
Wonderful! I hope he has a thoroughly scornful relationship with Lord Chancellor Zhukelion, they seem like they'd despise one another by nature, the bloodthirsty warrior and the aloof sage. ~Drakzilla~
Actually Zhukelion has a kind of "live and let live" philosophy, so he wouldn't mind Ju-Long's antics, and would actually probably appreciate his zeal and effectiveness on its own merit, even if it's not his cup of tea. There'd be more friction between him and the Jade General, who is a lot more rigid and less accepting.
