SC6669's Dark Angels

Three years ago if someone had told me that I would have not only a dark angels army, but the entire 5^th company, I probably would have laughed in their face…funny how things turn out…

This all started when I bought the limited edition version of the dark vengeance set. Originally I bought it to get the chaos models, but then I realized that all I had to do to make the dark angels from the set a full on army was one more troops choice. It just so happened I had not one, but five unpainted tactical squads (one was mine, the other four were given to me by a friend). With these models, I only needed two assault squads and two devastator squads. After that it was just finding some old school models to add to my army.

As of this post, I have a little over half of my 5^th company painted as well as some extra HQ choices I just couldn’t live without. For today’s post, I’ll start out with the models from my dark vengeance set. I was going to put up a pic of Interrogator-Chaplain Seraphicus and Librarian Turmiel, but I'm having some problems with photobucket atm. First up is Balthazar, Master of the 5^th Company:

Lastly for today is Squad Arion, who got the biggest upgrade from the set. I added three more bikes, an attack bike, and a land speeder (the attack bike and land speeder both have magnetized weapons so I can use any weapons combo for them I want):

Some good work there Soulcrusher. :) If you are after some feedback or looking to move up to the next level I would suggest doing a little more work on providing definition to the faces and thinning some of the colours you use for highlights - it helps you to get a smoother gradation of colour and makes the effect more subtle.

That's not a criticism by the way - I'm impressed that you have managed to accumulate and paint that many miniatures! I have the same number but haven't got nearly as many finished!
