librisrouge
I'm currently negotiating with a guy on a trade site to acquire a Lucius Warhound. I prefer the Lucius pattern to the Mars pattern, but FW stopped selling them. I was wondering, if I posted his pics here, would anybody have enough knowledge of these to assure me of a couple of things: That it is real Forgeworld product That it is complete I know that I'm probably being weird but the guy has zero reputation score (so he is shipping before I pay) and I want to be certain I'm getting the genuine article for my money. Brother-Chaplain Kage
When you buy a titan, you get a certificate from Forge World. You might ask if he has that. librisrouge
According to him, he does have the certificate (I made it a deal breaker issue) and he will photograph it with the parts for me. Lucien Eilam
It's probably a decent enough indicator, but I wouldn't necessarily take a certificate as definitive proof of anything. Mine came direct from Forge World and it's printed on thin, slightly rough-cut card, with the distinct air of having been run off the office laser printer. We're not talking holograms and watermarks here. Brother-Chaplain Kage
Unless it's obviously a much different color of resin than what FW uses, it might be difficult to tell in pictures. CommodusXIII
Forge World has also varied its resin over time. I now have a Lucius Warhound from the initial generation, and another from before it was discontinued, and they're different colors. The best indicators are the certificate and the metal grill for the carapace vent. IamJacksUserName
I have assembled my own real mars pattern warhound as well as my friends lucious pattern. I have also assembled and cleaned a knock off war hound. I spent twice as long, if not more, getting the recast into decent shape. There are very telling factors if it is a recast. If you are in doubt, I would be glad to look at the pictures and give you my opinion. Does anybody with warhound experience have any criticisms? Are any obvious pieces missing or wrong? I'd just appreciate any feedback you guys may have before I go dropping five big ones on this guy. Vel'Cona
Looks legit to me. Can't speak for missing pieces though. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/312530-cooperative-authentication/#findComment-4151053 Share on other sites

IamJacksUserName
Based on what I am seeing you have an authentic lucious warhound. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/312530-cooperative-authentication/#findComment-4151252 Share on other sites
Lucien Eilam
The metal grill is a good sign. I don't see the plastic for the cockpit glass, but that's easily replaced, and may just be lost in the JPEG artefacts.
