I'll be building this list for January and using it in the ACT of heresy campaign

Now I'm thinking the best way to use this list is to use the command squad praetor and first jetbike Squad to harass any threats ie sicirans scorpious Whirlwind etc, drop pod in near light Armoured threats Rhinos etc and to hold objectives.

Then with the Apothecary second jetbike Squad and javelin harass the opposition and support any tac squads under threat.

The fire Raptors will then be bought in for Spartans etc and to dominate from over head.

Is this a viable list?

I'd at least opt for a Grav Gun on the Javelin since its one of the rare relentless platforms that can take the damn thing.

I wouldn't hedge bets on the Fire Raptor Missiles dealing with Spartans. IIRC they're ordnance meaning they kinda weaken the rest of the guns, not ideal.

Your best bet is to meltabomb them with the Jetbikes but thats a risk in and of itself. Depending on contents, you might have to sacrifice a meltabomb unit to the Spartan DeathTaxi most likely a Tac Vet Squad.

Just be careful with your Javelin. You only have one and its only Av11 so it will probably get vaped T1 if your not careful.

Most metas here use the 20 man tac in Spartans so I think I'll take your advice with the grav on the land speeder.

I'm not sure if to lower the jetbikes to 3 per Squad and add more javelin or keep them

In all honesty, you might be better off swapping the Jetbike Command Squad (Charnabal Sabres arent anything to write home to). Sure, you're losing the Banner Bubble, but, taking more Javelins gives them more staying power and if you bump both 5 man Jetbike Squads to 6, you'd have 2 Culverins in Each.

Also, made a Mistake, only normal Land Speeders can take a Graviton Gun. Still, CML/Lascannons and Multimeltas on a fast platform can still deal some damage. Still, ~85 Points for MM and TL-CML is kinda expensive.

Edit: oh an, Tac Vets arent troops. Only in Pride and Chosen Duty they are.

Using strategic raid which uses 2 Elites as mandatory troops.

So I bypass the need for Tacticals.

Hmmm the command squad I might drop down to the minimum 2 and standard then add a Culvern and jetbike to the sky hunters

Huh, forgot that, LOL

Fair enough. Still, dont rely on the Hellstrike Missile for anti-armor.

So by doing that I gave a Charnable Sabre melta bombs and a Volkite serpenta to the midicae.

I'd go for a Power Weapon instead of Serpenta And Charnabal.

Charnabals arent that reliable and if you get stuck in a challenge, might as well pack a punch.

I'll do that then so now I can do more cc fun.

Now I've never used bikes or jetbikes how do you go about using them?

Mostly mathhammer on my part...I'm still trying to save up money for a White Scars Jetbike army myself :p

...Though with Turboboost T1, you can get pretty dang far and set yourself up for a good meltabomb Charge T2 or, if you go 2nd, possibly get a T1 Charge if your opponent is gutsy.

They're Tough but they're also a Fire Magnet. I would make use of their superior shooting more so can their CC since they have pretty good guns though its still a viable choice since their T5.

You also have the advantage of a Jink Save if you're in a pinch and are getting shot by Ap2 Guns. But, if a Typhon Shoots them (one of the rare guns with Ap1/2 and Ignores cover), you'll be in trouble.

Treat them like fast TEQ: They're resilient but still die to massed firepower.
