chaplainmikey
Hi guys, I'm finally getting around to painting some Dark Angels and as I'm going mostly Ravenwing thought it best to start with a bike. So here is the test model for the army. Trying to achieve a more natural looking black than the stuff you see by GW and I'm really pleased with how it turned out. Any c&c would be welcome. Cheers, Mike. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/312643-ravenwing-test-model/ Share on other sites
Gillyfish
That's very impressive. It's quite a subtle effect, but it works really well. I like the muted colour on the robes and 'bars too. CarbonBased
Nicely done! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/312643-ravenwing-test-model/#findComment-4151750 Share on other sites
Cactus
Totally badass. What colours did you use for the green screen? Yours looks much less flat than my efforts and the text stands out better. Brother dean
Yep, we have nothing to add... other than you need to investigate gap filler...Well done! Father Mehman
Well, isn't this a treat ? Good to see a bike with some dirt on it, finally. I'm really liking his skin tone and the blending on the cogitator screen looks great, too. Keep it up ! Interrogator Stobz
Really nice mute tones :tu: I agree with Dean that you need to fill the gaps in the bike and also drill the bolter barrels to make it truly worthy of your skill level. You appear to be at a level of control that only the bits you don't do will be noticed ;) You could add an ink lining to the separate feathers on the cowling and back pole to provide a little more definition there, they currently look too similar to the robes. Just some CnC from an old fart, take it or leave it, your mini is great either way :D s Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/312643-ravenwing-test-model/#findComment-4152824 Share on other sites
