 Greetings Gentleman & Ladies,

I have read on the interwebs much debate on whether or not to use auto cannons or heavy bolters for the fire raptor gunship side sponsons. I am personally leaning towards auto cannons str 7 ap 4 hvy 4( only two less dice than the heavy bolters and two str higher than them as well). What are the forums thoughts on the matter?

Thanks alot guys

Dont the quad HVB have 6 shots, and the Autocannons are only twin linked so 2 shots?

Only Chaos Space Marines or Crusade armies can take the heavy 4 reaper battery.

I think that should settle the matter, really ;)

OH so it has to be heavy bolters....... well that settles that....

autocaonnons hands down, they use old school reaper ones so getting 4 shoots. Plus rule of cool applies they just look better. Get some ww2 scale model shells and toss them on base and give the appearance of raining down hate all day.

Take magnet options and make both, I should have done that but my skills pervent that from happing.

1) Autocannons =/= reaper autocannons

2) As I said before, only Chaos get access to reapers in 40k.

Heavy bolter option is heavy 6

Autocannon option is heavy 2.

No contest.

You are correct I built mine with 30k and just assumed it held true for 40k. I should check IA2 before posted. My bad

Easily done :) I problem you'll find is that the kit doesn't actually come with reapers, I think!
