I have ServoHarness one, Thunderfire cannon, and the Iron Father (for basic unupgraded Techweenie from codex) What all think of this basecoating job? .. used washes too. Based in GW Foundation, ink washes, P3 silver, then some mild highlights with Vallejo Flat Red. This is the basic pewter Techmarine (comes with the servitors in box.) http://www.gotnurbs.com/ironheaded/techmaweenie.png I was making him a custom base.. some fencing and cork to stand on. Ironheaded Posted August 28, 2015 Author Share Posted August 28, 2015 Did a few touchups, no photos, of the red. Mini has purity seals, and some stereo instructions, hanging from his belt. Those got some P3 rucksack brown and jackbone coats. Gotta remember to do the purity seal waxes in magnetas. I must say.. Vallejo Model Color range .. Flat Red and Scarlet are just pure awesome. They have an orange base to them so when they go on thin, or alittle white added, they dont shift into pink ranges. Get these paints if you have the means. Firepower Posted August 28, 2015 Share Posted August 28, 2015 The red looks pretty solid there. I wouldn't bother with another highlight, personally. Overall he's looking pretty good, as is the base. Then gotta figure out what to do with Iron Father. Edit: Will just give the Iron Father same Mechanicum red plating like the other two. Now he can be uncommitted to a chapter and would count as a Techmarine, without the servo-harness upgrade. I had an awful thought when setting up this picture : "Ohmygod..
