Skrall
In 2012 i began a project that would expand for beyond rationality.Originally my zoica project was a 750pt smirish force with a fancy command tank. Then in 2013 i bought imperial armour 1 second edition.... and this got out of hand. As of last september i was able to field 4000pts worth of armour and it was only around 2/3 of my collection. Since then its continued to escalate, with armour appearing left right and center. In preperation for this september, when i will be enjoying another apoc game, i am shifting my focus into some new armour. I've decided to build the valdor titan hunter team, mainly because of the insanity of reducing superheavies to snap shots.here's the apoc team so far; http://i.imgur.com/pVuK59k.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/YKdpQ4U.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/CoRLm45.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/YCAy8QG.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/8QGfAyh.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/iqzwImY.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/boRNnPJ.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/01ojBkk.jpgOnly one more to go and i can start reducing £1200's worth of warlord to an oversized statue.http://i.imgur.com/6eV94Oj.jpg-skrall Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/313078-the-legacies-of-astphodel-zoica-rises/ Share on other sites
Aqui
I've always wondered what a Zoica force looked like as minis, and that question has now been answered! Love the rusted armour Do you have a group shot of the whole force? I suppose thatbit would have to be a wide angle on to get 4K guard on the same picture Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/313078-the-legacies-of-astphodel-zoica-rises/#findComment-4160027 Share on other sites

Doctor Perils
Sweet ! You'll be getting a like tomorrow (reached my daily limit already) The weathering seems nice and effective, you've made the colour scheme work really well, and you haven't gone overboard with the chaos iconography. I have to ask, have you created some of those weird siege engines Abnett describes ? Olis
I have to ask, have you created some of those weird siege engines Abnett describes ? You mean 'Woe Machines'? I'd be impressed if indeed Skrall has. Man, those things were messed up. -skrall Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/313078-the-legacies-of-astphodel-zoica-rises/#findComment-4160152 Share on other sites

Skrall
Thanks man!So quick update, i'm thinking of building a woe machine varient, taking the inpirisation from the woe machine but blending it with the knight titan. this is largely because the knight has chaos rules thus i can make it 40k legal. what do we think? worth pursuing? -skrall Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/313078-the-legacies-of-astphodel-zoica-rises/#findComment-4162145 Share on other sites

STC Logisengine
First off: lovely malcador and valdors, it is nice to see someone pull off heavy weathering without going over the top on those tanks. I think using the statline might be a good thing, but I don't remember any of the woe-machines' discriptions evoking a look even near a knight, better not use the actual model since it has such distinct visuals. Do a deathweel instead, or plunder the Onager or defiler-kits to make a Siege-crab, those whee indeed freaky in my head.
