I'm thinking of similar pads to her mentors to link them together. Though I want to do a very light/faint =][= on the pads which can only be seen if you look in the right light. I'm trying to sort out the two extra priests to do the 12 idea. Just need to locate the right arms and they'll be kitbashed ready for December painting. SW1 Posted November 25, 2015 Author Share Posted November 25, 2015 Much mulling has been done while I've been sifting through bits and I've decided I have more than enough bits to do a decent Deathwatch force. The amazing crozius from the new HH box will go on a DW Chaplain. I need to decide how I'm modelling the DW as the mk8 armour doesn't like helmets being used with it. SW1 Posted December 31, 2015 Author Share Posted December 31, 2015 Sooo ... It's been a little while since I did anything hobbywise. The hobby space got ransacked and diverted to crimbo production. But it's getting back on track. Last night I got all the paints out to assess what needs thinning (really need to move the GWS paints into dropper bottles) and I had to move some models to get at the paints. So while they were out I ended up slapping a black undercoat on the missing pads and backpack to finish Illa. I also undercoated my conversion of Lukas the Trickster. My old paint job was a bit too bright and I want to work out my grey before 30k wolves drop. :D So it looks like I'll need to work out some background story how an Inquisitor :cuss off the old wolf that much that he arranged for Lukas to be part of an escort. ;) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
SW1 Posted January 6, 2016 Author Share Posted January 6, 2016 Last night was chatting via PM with Altis and got the hobby itch to actually do something hobby wise. So a quick rummage found some random pads I'd been working on getting skulls sculpted on. Most of them were a bit lopsided (7 out of 8) but one was actually level so I was able to finish off a Red Hunter pad. Next challenge is trying to cast it up for my Red Hunters force. Definately not gs'ing loads of them. ;) I've also got some legs ordered which look like mk2 or mk3 ish bikers legs. SW1 Posted January 11, 2016 Author Share Posted January 11, 2016 Well the bike legs arrived with a cool looking wolfs head shoulder pad for free!!! Think I need to investigate their products some more as the wolves are on the horizon 30k wise and these legs are meant to be a test for possible 30k style wolves on bikes. :D I've done some work on my brothers boards but not got anywhere with models this year. Scenery yes but models is just a none starter at the moment. While I still have some forward momentum on the building of scenery I'm going to concentrate on that for now.
