IF successor chapter ideas.

Eating back into the hobby and I am looking at Imperial Fists. When I played back in 5th edition I had the entire 5th company assembled, based and painted. Anyway, I sold them, mistake I know.

With getting back into it now I would like to do a successor chapter to the IF's. My reasoning is purely logistical and a little fluff. If I want to filed assault troopers and make a all jump troop army I can run them as count as Blood Angels, or I can do the Dark Angle thing, any from a visual perspective I think going with a custom scheme make this a little easier to pull off, I also do t want to paint an entire company worth of yellow again.

So I turn to you guys here for name help. Here is what I am thinking so far

Imperial Templar's - OD green with yellow shoulders and a Templar cross.

Fist of Dorn- Dar Grey with yellow shoulders, I like the idea of sticking with the fist emblem, but the name sounds like something you would find in an adult novelty shop of you catch my drift.

Servants of Dorn - a little too soft for the galaxies mightiest, Navy blue armor with tan shoulders.

Other than that I am drawing a blank. Any suggestions? I would love to keep the fist icon working as it fits in with the back story I am thinking of.

Grey and yellow sounds good, but I agree the name might need work. Maybe try something a bit less direct in referencing their connection to the Primarch. Think about the attributes of the sons of Dorn. Maybe go with something like the Steadfast Sons, Knights Adamant, Emperor's Sheilds.

My Fists successor are called the Gatekeepers, and wear dark green armour with blue and gold trim. (There's a few pictures in the link on my signature, and you can see one of their officers in my profile pic.)

I think I am going to settle on the name for my chapter to be "Temple Guard" a chapter dedicated to carrying on the traditions and honor of the Templar Brethren of the original VIIth Legion.   http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Templar_Brethren

Colors would follow the original VIIth color scheme, http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Imperial_Fists

As far as the chapter badge I am still on the fence.  I am thinking to do some lighting bolts, iconography that was on the original VIIth badge

I am also thinking something more simply like this tower icon

Then there is this one that has an eagle head, a nod to the original chapter and then a shield that also touches on the "guard" theme.

Then, finally there is this one that is kind of a mix of the two themes, the bolt draws from the original badge ad the shield touches on the guard theme.

I tried to do one oath keepers but didnt like the name.

Im currently well advanced on my IF sucessor chapter Angels of Wrath.(more on it when my home internet is back up)

Dont forget you can have a name that does not need to include, fists, dorn, imperial etc.

I will also use a bit of DA veterans kit, just because I like the knightly look. Winged helmet and half robe on my Captain.

Your imagination is the limit. Some IF sucessors are completely diferent from the parent chapter, like BT or executioners.
