dtse
Hey guys. Any tips of painting the bike lights to look like they actually are on? Like the colour splashing onto the front wheel sort of thing Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/313513-bike-lights/ Share on other sites
Gillyfish
If you mean a technique known as Objective Source Lighting (OSL) there are some tutorials in the painting forums. Essentially there are two methods: One using drybrushing of the light colour across the areas likely to have light on them. The other is using blending with the original colour to create a more subtle and gradual approach. I've not tried it myself, but I would try to find some real world examples to sue for reference to ensure you don't over do it!
