Hey all,

Just wanted to get a comprehensive list of the fates of all the Vlka Fenryka watch-packs, I know some of them and how they met their ends, but not all. Figured there might be those of you out there with more access to BL material that might know more.

I'll update the first post as we nail down each one. Cheers!

• 1st Legion (Dark Angels) Watch-Pack:

• 3rd Legion (Emperors Children) Watch-Pack:

• 4th Legion (Iron Warriors) Watch-Pack:

• 5th Legion (White Scars) Watch-Pack:

• 7th Legion (Imperial Fists) Watch-Pack: Full Strength - "Howl of the Hearthworld"

• 8th Legion (Night Lords) Watch-Pack: Casualties Sustained - "The Watcher"

• 9th Legion (Blood Angels)Watch-Pack: Deceased - "Fear to Tread"

• 10th Legion (Iron Hands) Watch-Pack:

• 12th Legion (World Eaters) Watch-Pack:

• 13th Legion (Ultramarines) Watch-Pack: Casualties Sustained - "Unremembered Empire"

• 14th Legion (Death Guard) Watch-Pack:

• 16th Legion (Sons of Horus) Watch-Pack:

• 17th Legion (Word Bearers) Watch-Pack:

• 18th Legion (Salamanders) Watch-Pack:

• 19th Legion (Raven Guard) Watch-Pack: Deceased - "Raptor"

• 20th Legion (Alpha Legion) Watch-Pack: Deceased - "Hunter's Moon"

Well, we know the ones assigned to Dorn have not yet met with their charge. I expect that will happen in Master of Mankind. The pack assigned to Sanguinus got killed by Amit and his Flesh Tearers. None for Magnus, since his betrayal prompted the watch-packs. None others that I know about.

Alpha Legion Watch Pack - Dead(Hunter's Moon)

Blood Angels Watch Pack - Dead(Fear to Tread)

Imperial Fists Watch Pack - In transit to Terra(Howl of the Hearthworld)

Raven Guard Watch Pack - Dead(Raptor)

Ultramarines Watch Pack - Wounded but still functioning(Unremembered Empire)

Please tell me it was actually the Traitors that wounded/killed (because I assume some of them died, as someone always does) them. Pretty please unsure.png ?

Amit? How/why? I knew they'd died but assumed it was due to Daemony things at Signus. Not another 'killed by loyalists'. censored.gif.

I like what Kol did here with the fate as well as the novel listed, good for those who want to read the story themselves.

It is my understanding that the Thousand Sons didn't have a watch pack but were rather the reason watch packs were sent to the other legions. To watch for signs of treachery. I don't recall where I picked that up so take it for what you will...

Heh.

lol reminds me of the noise I make when watching Game of Thrones with those who haven't read the books...

Ah yeah lol, fixed the master list. Thanks for that.

Unremembered Empire:

A loose Curze is about to prey upon Guilliman's mamzel. The pack appears to hold the Night Haunter at bay. He eviscerates them, though they do hold their own against him. It's Vulkan pulling a kool-aid man that puts their battle to an end. The Wolves really come off well in this scene.

Fear to Tread:

It's been a while, but I remember the gist. Signus wasn't just about Blood Angels vs daemons. It was about getting the Blood Angels to let go. To release what they hide within themselves, that thirst, that rage. The Blood Angels obviously don't turn, but the madness within them was nonetheless triggered. Within some worse than others. Within Amit and his company, worst of all. The Space Wolves were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

well some would argue the sons had the first watch pack when Wyrdmake pretends to be all buddy buddy and when that discovers the depths with witch the Sons are dabbling in the warp that the other watch packs are a forgone conclusion and after the heresy breaks and prospero burns malcador gives Russ his sanction to deploy them but I am unsure on the time line of all these things
That would have to be some serious straining of the definition. The Watch Packs were sent out on the order of Malcador as a "canary"(the way miners used them) to try and spot potential traitors among the other Primarchs.problem was they were sent out too late as they didn't reach most of the other Legions until the Heresy had began.

I think that the Watch pack that got sent to Corax were not all killed.

At 1:06:10 "Woundweaver, threw back his head and Howled!"   Wolves howl to communicate right?  Who could he have been sending a message too?  I think that the Packmaster did not fully trust the Raptors and left one or more of his pack away from their meeting.  There were five Wolves alive earlier,  only three made it to the meeting.

I also think it should be noted that they ....

were Wolfen and might have turned traitor.  Perhaps they should have a different color?

I wouldn't say getting eviscerated is holding one's own...however, the Wolves "knew no fear"
