TemujinZero
What exact bits do I need to complete this 'upgrade' set? I know I need 5 sets of legs , 5 bolt pistols and 5 backpacks. I'm a bit confused about the arms though. One sword arm and the power fist arm are complete, but it seems that the others aren't present in the kit. The confusing part is the shoulder pads, half of which seem to have part of an arm attached to them, but not a complete arm. What do these arms connect to? The assembled models seem to have MKIII gauntlets that aren't present in the upgrade kit, but does this mean that I have to hack off a tiny part of a MKIII Despoiler arm just to extend the partial arms in the Templar kit? Am I just looking at them all wrong? Has anyone come up with a less wasteful way of completing this kit? I'm going to replace the heads with the recent Dark Angel heads, and if I have to buy a complete MKIII Despoiler kit as well i'm going to burn GBP66.50 on just five models. I suppose I can finish up the leftover MKIII parts with plastics then bulk out a tactical squad with them, but I can't shake off the feeling that I'm getting screwed. klisof
The part of the arm you can see n half the shoulder pads connects to the combat shields, they have the forearm sculpted onto the back of the shield. Then you need a hand to complete that arm. You need a complete arm for the sword to attach too, along with legs and backpacks. Marshal Rohr
One despoiler squad and one upgrade pack is all you need. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/313881-question-about-templar-brethren-upgrade-set/#findComment-4175770 Share on other sites
TemujinZero
That explains it. For some reason I was looking at the sword arms on the assembled models as the ones with the arm as part of the shoulder pads. Thank you. So 5 sets of legs, 5 backpacks, 5 bolt pistols with hands, 2 left arms and 1 right arm (assuming I use both the complete sword arm and the power fist). Whoever made the decision not to chuck those few remaining bits in to make this a complete kit is a very very bad person. TemujinZero
One despoiler squad and one upgrade pack is all you need. Or more accurately: A few odd bits out of a despoiler squad and one upgrade pack is all you need. It's the only reason that makes sense to me anyway.
