Hammer of Olympia
Heya guys I'm going to start my black templars soon and since I'm going to use mark III and mark II's for my army,I was planning to use Umbra and Phobos bolters too,but since templars use chains for their weapon, does anyone know here I could get small chains to fit the army? like this: Also in your opinion, should i just stick with the current templar upgrade kits? they already have a chain sculpted to them but their guns are current 411st milenium version and if I stick with the phobos and umbra bolters,It might be a hassle to glue the chain to the models. also this is how the mk III combined with current 41st guns looks like: http://www.coolminiornot.com/pics/pics15/img4ef251d01c609.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/313887-to-chain-or-not-to-chain/ Share on other sites
Xin Ceithan
There is the possibility to bend chains from small wire ( and IIRC a tutorial somewhere ) . You can also buy length of small chain from hobby stores. - it's jewelry chain and you have to make sure they scale to your needs. But faster than making them a little known at a time. GrandMagnus
Any cheap jewelry store should have all kinds of steel chains. Atleast that's how it is where I live. And they are cheap. Lucien Eilam
Tank Workshop's Precision Detail Chain is pretty much the perfect size, if you want to go that route: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/313887-to-chain-or-not-to-chain/#findComment-4175852 Share on other sites

Firepower
Wow, those Templars... I recently picked up three different sizes of chain at a local generic hobby shop for a pittance. One thing to consider is the shape of the links. The precision chain above can be tricky, because that won't easily lay across a flat surface. I managed to find chain that was much flatter, and it works beautifully. Anyway, just google your local hobby shops and call around. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/313887-to-chain-or-not-to-chain/#findComment-4175994 Share on other sites

Captain General
A model ship parts company called Model Shipways makes many varying sizes of chain. You might try eBay for them. Venerable Jazzman
Try looking in charity/thrift shops for cheap old jewellery necklaces. You can normally get loads of chain very cheaply that way.
