Nova_chron Posted September 22, 2015 Share Posted September 22, 2015 So my gaming group is running a highlander campaign soon I've been testing some lists out recently drummed up one I would like some input on. 1500 points Baal strike force HQ Astorath the grim 165 Librarian ML2 90 Elites Death company x15 jump packs bolters and 3 powerfists 395 Troops 10 cc scouts with cloaks melta bomb sarge 135 5 tac marines melta gun combi melta and melta bomb 95 Heavy Baal predator heavy bolters dozer blade 140 Land raider crusader 250 Storm Raven hurricane bolters TLAC TLMM 230 Idea is tac squad in crusader for a mobile anti infantry pillbox and late objective grabber Libby in here or with scouts Scouts in Raven for a combat drop into cover Baal predator is fire support DC do what they do best and wipe deathstars with those tasty rerolls. I've tested various lists but this is first with the Raven in it as all my practice games I was feeling the lack of air support. Anything you guys see as glaring weakness? evildrcheese Posted September 26, 2015 Share Posted September 26, 2015 That's actually a really nice Highlander list. I think you'd got pretty much all the bases covered. My only concern is that the tacs are walking with Melta weapons. They'll be shot to pieces before they make it into Melta range. How many DC would you have to drop to give them a las/plas razorback? Nova_chron Posted September 26, 2015 Author Share Posted September 26, 2015 Last night this list won 3-2 against a sentinels of Tera first company list and 13-11 against orks the first company strike force was nasty and is probably the toughest list in the campaign...
