Does the "Rampart Detachment" make Bullgryns worth it?

I think it's fairly safe to say that the general consensus on Bullgryn is that they are (at least slightly) overcosted for what they give you.  Either that or that other units can do their job better.  I know they are absurdly expensive (in a world of D weapons), but I read the rules on the "Rampart Detachment" from Sanctus Reach, and it has me thinking they could actually work.  Okay, a properly kitted out formation will cost you... a LOT.. (~575 pts), but with that you get:

5x Bullgryn (Slab Shield)

5x Bullgryn (Slab Shield)

PCS (Chimera)

The good part is their special rules though -- Counter-Attack, Fear, FEARLESS, and Impenetrable Steel Wall!  So, first of all.. fearless, now they don't need a babysitter to keep them from fleeing combat, that's nice.  The best thing is that Steel Wall.. they provide an ADDITIONAL +1 to the cover saves provided by the slab shields... so you're looking at 3+ standard!  So, Pask and a Friend ride behind them, with camo-netting for a 2+(!) save... advancing until charge range, then let 'em have it with the Bullgryns.  I envision one 5-man Bullgryn squad for Pask-isher and a buddy, then a second squadron of 2 tanks of your choice (probably close-range variants, maybe Executioners or Demolishers) and you have two separate, advancing walls of cover saves.  Again.. expensive bit of kit.. and the PCS are just "there"... they get fearless, too i guess.. so... whatever... maybe some flamers on them, but the Bullgryn cost the same price as in the regular codex, with a major boost.  Thoughts?

In a quick 1850 list i was able to fit (camo-netting all around):

Pask-isher (MM or HB Sponsons)

Erradicator wingman (HB Sponsons)

Priest

Priest

Melta Vets (Chimera)

Melta Vets (Chimera)

Executioner (Plas Sponsons)

Executioner (Plas Sponsons)

Wyvern

"Rampart"

5x Bullgryn (Slab Shields)

5x Bullgryn (Slab Shields)

PCS (Chimera, Flamers)

Cheap Inquisitor (i like my servo skulls)

I used the Rampart formation with 2 squads of 9 bullgryn. Behind them I had 2 units of cataphran grav destroyers and kastellans in that formation that lets you ignore cover. I also had coteaz and 3 henchmen squads with a psyker each.

I faced a drop pod gladius formation and the skyhammer formation.

Those bullgryn sucked up every bit of shooting and assault and only lost a couple of models. Meanwhile my admech behind them had a 2+ or 3+ cover save for the alpha strike.

After suffering through the intial drop, the bullgryn charged each turn and killed whatever they ran into. (Prescience + power mauls...)

I played 2 games using this army and they did great both times. As you stated, though, it is a huge point investment.
