b1soul
Not all visions come true, some show merely possible futures...but if Yesugai's vision is spot-on, Jaghatai is defeated by some immense specter of death on a dead world. The description did not seem to be one of Mortarion. Could his opponent be Nightbringer? BrotherCaptainArkhan
I reread Scars recently and was surprised this dream didn't get more attention. I thought it was a bit too vague for anything to be clearly surmised - I initially thought the same thing you did, that it was of a future battle as yet unfought - but I had previously thought that the Khagan would die fighting the Dark Eldar as he vanishes into the Webway pursuing them. Of course, one doesn't necessarily follow the other. Fighting the Nightbringer would be an awesome way to go (more interesting than fighting Eldar pirates if I'm honest) - but I suspect this will be one more brick in the wall of Things GW Leaves Unexplained. Unfortunately. :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/314246-yesugais-vision-of-jaghatais-final-battle/#findComment-4182967 Share on other sites
Doctor Perils
but I suspect this will be one more brick in the wall of Things GW Leaves Unexplained.... ... until W40k sales go bad I actually thought that the Khan was supposed to be one of those primarchs that disappears until a later date, like Russ, Vulkan and Corax ? Yeah, he's lost in the webway, but if someone could find his way out it would be him (or corax) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/314246-yesugais-vision-of-jaghatais-final-battle/#findComment-4182976 Share on other sites
b1soul
I hope the vision is false and the Khan is running around in the webway somewhere...but I thought only Nightbringer could possibly fit that description Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/314246-yesugais-vision-of-jaghatais-final-battle/#findComment-4183015 Share on other sites
HeritorA
Actually that would be Mortarion (Chris said that himself) in the future after the daemonhood. They would duel for 2 more times in the HH times. Later on, after Morty daemonhood he will kill Khan at last - but yeah, we will not read about that 'until W40k sales go bad' Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/314246-yesugais-vision-of-jaghatais-final-battle/#findComment-4183535 Share on other sites

HeritorA
You need to listen for his interview from the BL weekender - which i made a year ago. I dont know the exact policy of bolter about foreign links on forums. caladancid
I listened to that link, and did not hear the part about the Khan getting killed by Mortarion eventually. Did I just miss it? Or is that somewhere else? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/314246-yesugais-vision-of-jaghatais-final-battle/#findComment-4257797 Share on other sites
HeritorA
The question without direct asnwer - but he said Khan fate would be sealed with his old nemesis. Right now the only Khan nemesis - is Mortation, we didn't know anyone else, with whom Khan has broken a glass Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/314246-yesugais-vision-of-jaghatais-final-battle/#findComment-4258620 Share on other sites
b1soul
Man...that description though...does not sound like Nurgle Mortarion...sounds like something even more primal. Hope it's all false Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/314246-yesugais-vision-of-jaghatais-final-battle/#findComment-4258635 Share on other sites
Rob P
Like b1soul, from the information we have at present, i'm not entirely convinced that it is Mortarion, but I don't really know where that leaves things. Kriegsmacht
I'm with b1soul on this. I prefer him stuck in the webway causing mayhem. Finding out he dies just loses something. Makes it feel pointless really.
