Yesugai's vision of Jaghatai's final battle

Not all visions come true, some show merely possible futures...but if Yesugai's vision is spot-on, Jaghatai is defeated by some immense specter of death on a dead world. The description did not seem to be one of Mortarion. Could his opponent be Nightbringer?

I reread Scars recently and was surprised this dream didn't get more attention.

I thought it was a bit too vague for anything to be clearly surmised - I initially thought the same thing you did, that it was of a future battle as yet unfought - but I had previously thought that the Khagan would die fighting the Dark Eldar as he vanishes into the Webway pursuing them. Of course, one doesn't necessarily follow the other. Fighting the Nightbringer would be an awesome way to go (more interesting than fighting Eldar pirates if I'm honest) - but I suspect this will be one more brick in the wall of Things GW Leaves Unexplained.

Unfortunately. :(

I actually thought that the Khan was supposed to be one of those primarchs that disappears until a later date, like Russ, Vulkan and Corax ? Yeah, he's lost in the webway, but if someone could find his way out it would be him (or corax)

Actually that would be Mortarion (Chris said that himself)  in the future after the daemonhood. They would duel for 2 more times  in the HH times. Later on, after Morty daemonhood he will kill Khan at last - but yeah, we will not read about that  'until W40k sales go bad'
