They're more like...guidelines anyway ;)

I think it'd be interesting for a pro imperial raider/pirate group that goes around seeking relics and artifacts in a similiar way to the Relictors to combat Horus in extreme ways. I know they mentioned it at the weekender, but it would be so awesome to see the mindset of splinter loyalist groups that take up "If the Emperor can't rule it, neither can you" and go about holding up the traitor fleet.

Or hell. I want a fleet of star forts. Is that a good enough reason? I don't want a lot, I want all of them.

Maybe a Rogue Trader captain with some traitor legion Astartes seconded to his fleet that hear about the heresy and decide it's a no go and return to Imperial space to get their privateer on. Gives an excuse to use regular armsmen as well as Mechanicum, and the Lord Captain could add the proper amount of swagger that a space marine might lack.

Drink up me hearties yo ho!

I honestly haven't thought any further than an Astartes standing in the Captain Morgan pose with the giant feathered cap head from the Empire General kit and a Jolly Rodger chapter badge.

That may be all I ever build, just because it would amuse me to do so.

I have already done a Rogue Trader Lord-Captain similar to that with his Marine Murderhobo bodyguard, maybe I'll expand on that.

Bloody hell man now I want to do a Pirate gang for Necromunda -.-

I always thought of the Black Shields as Loyalist terrorists. As in using rad weapons, Alchem-Munitions, etc etc

I like to think of them as guerrillas. Small groups of loyalist from traitor factions lacking traditional legion support willing to do and use anything at their disposal. Similar in many ways to the shattered legions. Definitely interested to see what is revealed in book 6.

Between Terra and Tsagualsa I can imagine the Night Lords being very similar to a Black Shield or Pirate force. Small warbands raiding convoys and bringing back the spoils/slaves to the Legion... In fact the Night Lords Legion between the destruction of Nostromo and the Isstvan Dropsite Massacre would possibly fall into this category I don't think anything has been written about what they were doing in those 20 years of isolation. I like to imagine they were carving out an area of space for there own purposes and possibly sending some kind of tribute back to the Imperium in order to keep from being sanctioned/censured by the Emperor.
