Balthamal
Ok so this popped up on my facebook wall this morning http://i1299.photobucket.com/albums/ag78/chud395/FB_IMG_1444715843872%201_zpsmo3uuqrx.jpg So one of 2 things. Either there's some bits and pieces of the VI Legion included in Retaliation or there's something else coming that will melt down the FW site. Dantay VI
Thats a quote from the opening part of the book "Wolf King" which was recently released (cannot verify if artwork is also in "Wolf King" though). Brother-Chaplain Kage
Those VI Legion look far too much like 40k Space Wolves for my liking. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/314831-interesting/#findComment-4195494 Share on other sites
Dantay VI
What, you mean the skull crotch?? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/314831-interesting/#findComment-4195496 Share on other sites
Balthamal
I could be wrong since I haven't seen the hard copy of Wolf King. I'm just basing it on the page style being the same as the HH volumes. If someone has got a copy possibly they could clarify Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/314831-interesting/#findComment-4195497 Share on other sites
Hyaenidae
Those VI Legion look far too much like 40k Space Wolves for my liking. It's Mk V. If it's after Prospero, I can totally see the VI Legion wearing anything that'll stop a bolt, considering the damage done to their organization. Kol Saresk
No, the only colored artwork in the novel(according to the Warhammer app) was a fold out picture of the cover, which is also the only art piece that didn't make the translation from hardback to e-format. That said, the quote was most likely just recycled since it is just a description. Also, the page color is the same "parchment yellow" as the other FW HH books. Son of Carnelian
Seems fake to me. But imagine if FW announced Wolves and Thousand Sons for Warhammer Fest at the same time GW announced plastic Heresy miniatures... Slips
...And they released Russ & Magnus to go along with the Book Guilliman and Tempest Style? I think the forum would implode. If they did, Focusing on finishing up my Current Imperial Fists before hopping over to Thousand Sons will be very hard. I hope this isnt the case as much as I'd like it to be :x Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/314831-interesting/#findComment-4195516 Share on other sites
Dantay VI
That would be immense for me on so many levels... But also so frustrating as I just placed an order for armour thinking the Space Wolves release was still a few miles own the road. At the Amsterdam Open Day, I believe, they showed some VI legion sketches which were in the very early stages, plus considering book 6 is supposed to be shattered legions... Could be the option for Watch packs in retaliation maybe, to coincide with upgrades? Slips
That all said I dont think that this is a FW book since the actual art style itself isnt present in any of the HH books despite the Page Style being the same. I stand corrected then. I was going off what little was said in the BL app. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/314831-interesting/#findComment-4195525 Share on other sites

Charlo
When you see art of it, I just have no idea why the Wolves exchanged thier sexy dark grey for baby blue. It is just so much cooler. Kol Saresk
I think it was GW's way of distinguishing the more "humane" 40K Wolves from the 13th Company Wulfen of the EoT campaign. Dantay VI
The 40K Wolves have always been a blue grey, since RT days I believe. Certainly 3rd ed from the mid 90's, however over time GW's paint for them has been getting progressively bluer Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/314831-interesting/#findComment-4195617 Share on other sites
Lazarine
I remember being disappointed by the baby blue in 1st Edition and thinking I was really original in exchanging it for a darker grey... If it's after Prospero, I can totally see the VI Legion wearing anything that'll stop a bolt, considering the damage done to their organization. I guess I just picture them in my head as looking a lot more different than simply 40k wolves with a dark grey paint job. Dantay VI
Yes me too. So far the artwork is helping give an idea, of what to expect and I am finding it hard to see where these differ significantly rfom their 40K couterparts as Alan Bligh suggested. Unless the change is more playstyle based rather than aesthetics. http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb456/dantay_xv/Heresy%20Wolves.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/314831-interesting/#findComment-4195647 Share on other sites
furstyferret
Aren't those boltguns in the OP a bit too 'modern' a design for Heresy? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/314831-interesting/#findComment-4195684 Share on other sites
Calas Typhon
I just hope there will be some brilliant Pelt pieces for my SoH. As for the OP picture, I really dislike those Astartes, I can't exactly place my finger on what though. Emperor's Furor
An example of this happening comes up in Howl of the Hearthworld when Russ sends a Wolf Pack to Terra.
