Will post here, as the main thread in the News section has now been closed.

As always with these events, I think it's important to feed back any comments back to the guys who organised / participated in this event.

If you liked a particular thing that they did, let them know - they'll be more chance of them bringing it back next year.

If you didn't like something, let them know - but try not to just tell them that they were rubbish, try to formulate it into constructive criticism with a way to improve on it next time. For instance, if you didn't like the seminar and found it a bit useless, let them know the types of topics you'd like to see touched upon in the future.

Ultimately as the consumer / participant we need to let these guys know our thoughts on this, and whether you think that they listen or not the only way to make it better is to let them know what didn't work, and how you think it could be improved.

The more FW exclusive events without mainstream GW there the better frankly, I haven't seen a single positive comment about anything other than the FW seminars & interactions with FW staff. GW are either clueless or simply don't care

I look forward to attending the Weekender again next year as it was a brilliant experience this year

Let's stop bashing GW for not being open. They've had a few big leaks in recent times and perhaps this is just an over-reaction, or perhaps they're not sure what the next releases will be and they don't want to make promises.

Their attitudes will likely change again in future

Nonsense. Over the last few years GW has shut down more and more events worldwide. GW has been suffering big leaks for many years. FW have made mistakes and gone back on what they said was happening, yet nobody hates them for it and they continue to be liberal with their information and plans for the future, just look at Prospero. The way GW handled the seminars was aloof and arrogant. FW shows they care, GW doesn't.

The two companies operate with VERY different philosophies. That isn't really a matter of debate, and you can point to GW being less and less open over the last 10+ years with ease as evidence.

GW attitude changing? I'll believe it when I see it happening, and be happy to be proven wrong. Anyway this is about FW and I don't want to ramble off topic, GW's actions argue my case better than a post of mine ever will tongue.png Bit of a pointless and loaded argument anyway

Did I read correctly they were looking at a February slot for the HH Weekender again?

Mark Bedford told me that they were planning for the first weekend in February (6th / 7th), but it's not confirmed yet.

Any clues as to primarch production? I think i read that one is being sculpted and another is being demo'd. And what does demo'd mean? Sculpted and shown off before casting? Finished concept shown before sulpting?

Thanks!

I hope its late February.... My work rota has me away early Feb... I actually want to attend a HH event as they seem really cool.

Last time I went to a Games Day was2011 I think..

Demo'd could be playtesting the rules and seeing what people think of the model designs for a Primarch?

Having done a clean sweep of the events (Games Day/FW Open Day/WHW/BL Weekender/HH Weekender) I can say the HH one is the best of the lot because it has a perfect balance of seminars/gaming/demos between both BL and FW. Can't recommend going to one enough especially since 2016's promises to be probably the best one yet.

Hmmm... Hopefully it will fit into the rota and as I didn't get my boys weekend away to the open days, she will be amenable to letting me go to a HH weekender.

Might even take my Wolves along if there is any gaming to be had, then someone can teach me how to play :) Would work well with the tale of 18 gamers too, as should have an army made an painted by then
