I just wanted to show this off.

I'll be honest, I didn't paint it :-P

It was commissioned by a studio based in the UK called MNL miniatures, I thought I should give them a shout out as the service and communication were excellent. Anyways, this will make an excellent addition to my Imperial Armies!

Very nice. That's a fun configuration. Did you make the arms swappable at all? I didn't on mine but wish I did....

Nice colours (Terryn?) and I've always balked at that helmet but now that I see it in blue and gold you got me thinking about it.

Great looking model. They did a fine job.

Thanks guys, this is a Knight Warden.

The arms are posable but the weapons can't be swapped, with the exception of the hull mounted rockets which are magnetised.

I have no interest in the shooting focused Knight even though I'm aware of it's potency. I think the fear factor of D strength close combat, and the fact that it costs significantly more points to exchange it for another shooting Weapon isn't worth it for me. I like my Knight to advance and pressure an opponent.

I already have a Knight Errant for a different weapon selection.

As for the face plate, it reminds me of the dog like face on the Warhound Titan :-)

I see my Knights as a LoW Marine slot in this case, and not as a different detachment. They are filling a role in my army similar to what Eldar and now Tau have, as a hard to defeat, high powered unit. I chose the house Terryn scheme because it matches my Ultramarines army - it almost looks like another unit entry from my force (and in my opinion Knights should simply be a shared LoW option across all Imperial factions - similar to how Weapons are re-used across factions).

You do know that Imperial Knights fill their own detachments, not the Lord of War slot in other armies, right? Its the Forgeworld Knights that can be LoW, not the Imperial Knights.

Yeah of course. I just wish it wasn't the case. I feel better running a pure army :-P

yeah, he didn't spoke about rules terms ...

oh and Ishagu, i like him^^ it's cool to see a warden with a sword instead of the fist

I never really use the thunder strike gauntlet on my Knight warden, I run a Baronial court and love to have the warden challenge out power fists/melta bombs in units. That and honestly I dislike the trade off you get for throwing a vehicle/monstrous creature but being Initiative 1.

It does mean that you are guaranteed your stomps though, which is a plus.

For the tournaments I go to the house rule is you can't stomp something not involved in the CC, so if they die from chainsword or the stomps it makes no difference to me.

Models which are not locked in the same combat as a SHW, GC or FGC that are covered by any of its Stomp blast markers are ignored and therefore cannot be affected by their Stomp. Note that it is permissible to Stomp friendly models locked in the same combat.
