Mal Luck
Hey all, this is my first attempt at building a 30k army so please bear with me if there are any mistakes/inconsistencies. Age of Darkness Force Organisation Chart – 2000 points Imperial Fists Crusader Legion Detachment HQ Sigismund Troops Templar Brethren [4x Templar Brethren, 4x Combat Shields]-- Chapter Champion [Combat Shield, Solarite Power Gauntlet]-- DT Godhammer pattern Land Raider [Armoured Ceramite] Troops Legion Tactical Squad [Additional Combat Blades, 14x Legion Tactical Space Marines, Legion Vexilla]-- Legion Tactical Sargeant [Artificer Armour, Power Fist] Heavy Spartan Assault Tank [Armoured Cereamite] Solar Auxilia Allied Detachment HQ Legate Commander Troop Auxilia Infantry Tercio [Auxilia Lasrifle Section; 1x Sergeant, 1x Vexilla Bearer, 1x Vox Operator, 17x Auxiliaries]-- Aegis Defence Line [Quad-Gun] Troop Auxilia Infantry Tercio [Auxilia Lasrifle Section; 1x Sergeant, 1x Vexilla Bearer, 1x Vox Operator, 17x Auxiliaries] LoW Detachment Questoris Knight Paladin [Rapid-fire Battlecannon]----So the Solar Auxilia form up behind the ADL with the commander manning th quad-gun; that should be enough to deal with or at least pressure the very limited air presence of my local meta. The 2x rifleman sections can put out some good horde control at long range to remove chaff I'd rather not waste any of the big units assaulting.Sigismund rolls with his Templar Brethren to act as anti-elite units and enemy warlord killers, whilst the big space marine group can react to the enemy with their versatility; assault units they can beat, shoot units they can't - hence the additional blades, there are some units you just don't want to charge, for which fury of the legions is a great alternative. The Knight does what Knights do. Between it, the land raider and the spartan there is some solid armour saturation and the two troop transports can deploy to protect the Knight's unshielded flanks at the beginning of the game. The list is designed to be fairly all-comers as I don't like tailoring. My main 'competitive' (aka more tactically minded) opponents field khorne daemonkin & tau, so polar opposite ends of the spectrum. Other than that there are orks, the least play to win eldar ever fielded, ultramarines and a daemonless chaos army. A few of them are looking into moving onto 30k as well, either because it better matches their army & playstyle (daemonless chaos and ultramarines) or as their next army buy-ins.Any thoughts, suggestions or criticisms would be greatly appreciated. Jakeisgod
Why the LR and the Spartan? Im a fan of the Leman Russ Incinerator and ive found its effective even against 3+. I run Sigismund 10 Templar Brethren, Primus Medicae with solarite gauntlet, and a Techmarine with Rad Grenades in a spartan with flare shield as my heavy hitter at 2,500 with the stone gauntlet RoW, but i see a few thudd gun units that chew up infantry. Ive found the extra CCW on tactical is a waste just throw another marine in and melta bombs IMO Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/315261-2k-imperial-fists-solar-auxilia-questoris-knight/#findComment-4210874 Share on other sites
