Emperor's Instrument
Frater, I am looking to update my fledgling Daemonkin by adding the new GW Bloodthirster kit, but to make it look even cooler I want to model the base using the AoS realmgates as though the Greater Daemon is emerging through it. My question is, what is the best/easiest material to use to fill in the empty void of the realmgate to make it look Stargate SG-1 ish. I am going to be using the longer set of legs from the BT kit (the jumping ones) so pretty much the whole model would be through the gate. Thanks in advance. DarkApostle7
Will the realmgate be flat on the base or standing up as it is intended, i its flat on the base then you might not need to fill the hole Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/315370-daemons-and-realmgates/#findComment-4208286 Share on other sites
Emperor's Instrument
It's too big in area to lay down on the base so I was going to position it at approx 45 degrees so it would like like the daemon is leaping up and forward from it. Bung
Well my idea would be some plasticcard to have something to close the gate and then use some water effect like Vallejo Still Water effect. If you paint the plasticcard you could ad some waves to the water effect and you would have the Stargate look for your gate.
