I have a C:SM (Raven Guard) CAD containing the following models/units (note that the Assault Squad specials need changing to be legal):

165 Captain w Power Fist & Lightning Claw, Artificer Armour, Jump Pack

105 Chaplain w Jump Pack
195 Tactical Squad (10) Veteran Sergeant with Power Fist, Meltagun, Multi-Melta
90 Tactical Squad (5) Sergeant with Combi-melta, Meltagun
135 Dreadnought w Multi-Melta and Dreadnought Close Combat Weapon, Drop Pod
215 Assault Squad (10) Veteran Sergeant with Power Fist, 2x Flamer
230 Assault Squad (10) Veteran Sergeant with Thunder Hammer, 2x Meltagun
170 Assault Squad (5) Remove Jump Packs, Sergeant w Combi-Plama & Lightning Claw, 2 Plasmaguns, Drop Pod
130 Devastator Squad (5) 4x Plasma Cannon
230 Stormraven w TL Assault Cannon, TL Multi-melta, Hurricane Bolters
230 Stormraven w TL Assault Cannon, TL Multi-melta, Hurricane Bolters
100 Aegis Defence Line w Quad Gun

I wanted to get this forum's take on whether I'd be better off fielding them as a Flesh Tearers Strike Force?

Note I don't have the current Blood Angels codex and want to know if it's worth getting.

Everything there would work fine with codex BA and could form a nice fluffy list.

However, with the recent things i've heard about new RG shenanigans they will be a powerful army.

Both will be fluffy, but both will also play diferently (maybe)...

If you wanted to run those as BA either the Baal Strike force (+1 I on the charge) or FTSF (rage when you roll => 10" for charge range) would be suitable.

Note that the FTSF isn't in the Codex and can be found in the Shield of Baal supplement.
