CHS Iconoclast Land Raider kit - several questions

I am thinking about buiding a muti-purpose land raider with the Iconoclast kit from Chapter house Studios. So I have a couple of questions directly or indirectly connected to that kit:

  1. Is CHS still in business? Their website does as not been updated in over a year as far as I can tell.
  2. What are your experiences with the kit?
  3. Would hurricane bolters and/or flamestorm cannons fit in the cylindrical housings?
  4. Could you swap the weapon in the central housing once the vehicle is built?
  5. Is there enough resin in the housings to drill holes for magnets in there, or would you have to work with ferric foil and magnets on the guns?
  6. Is there someone who sells those kits in Europe, preferably Germany? I'd like to avoid hassle with customs.

I don't believe so, no. Their FB page has been quiet since April. While they are still taking orders, I hear tell that no-one is getting what they've ordered.

I don't believe so

What are your experiences with the kit?

IIRC, mine is sitting in a box unused, a project never started....

Would hurricane bolters and/or flamestorm cannons fit in the cylindrical housings?

Flamestorms would need some creativity if you want to include the fuel tanks, otherwise the cannons themselves will slot straight in. The Hurricane Bolters, i don't know. All my stuff is packed as I just moved, I'll have a dig about once my son goes to bed.

Could you swap the weapon in the central housing once the vehicle is built?

It's the same turret ring as GW's Land Raiders/Razorbacks, so as long as you don't glue it it's a straight swap.

Plenty of space for magnets

Can't help with this one, sorry.

Cheers,

Jono

That is unfortunate really. I am the one who mastered that kit, sad to see that production has potentially stopped. FWIW, I built the weapon mount to accept all weapon types that were available at the time. Hurricane bolters will fit.

A.

I would suggest looking at subtle discord's theread and hi websit the dark works. He does a really nice Loricatus Land Raider kit, along with matching kits which will fit a rhino, razorback and predator.

A number of the guys on here have used the kits and they look really good.
