Ishagu is right. 40k is kind of in a nice spot right now. I know it seems weird to those of us in the trenches duking it out,and tryi g to make different list work.

 

If you look at all the ITC events in the passed 3 months you'd seem almost every army has claimed first place in something. This includes orks, nice, and IG.

 

When you look at the list some of them are even none cheese ball list like straight horde orks or IG. Even space wolves that are trying to play as if where regular space marines, and not speaking thunder wolves.

 

As to 30k vs 40k thier are so many more 40k players. As such tournaments are more regular, bigger, and more diverse.

Ironically as a competitive game there is more viable variations today in 40k than ever before.

 

Super survivable Necrons, fast and shooty eldar, horde marines, super friends, battle convocation and so on.

 

Absolutely. As narrow in style as the TAC lists where though from 5th ed though, I prefered that style of play. I really should start a 30K army at some point....
