Worth starting HH?

As a group we are thinking of starting HH. I assume all the rules we will need will be in the gamers collection of the HH books, but I am wondering if with the release of the new game we should wait.

Is it likely they will change or re released an updated edition of these rules? Is it better to hang on for a few months and see what develops or are only expecting a plastic model range to be used alongside the existing rules in forgeworld?

The boxed game seems fun, and is taking place in the 30k universe. But the HH expansion from FW is a completely different beast alltogether. A 7th ed rulebook and the HH army lists of your choice is required to play the FW HH age of darkness expansion.

Doesn't really answer where GW fit in and the new HH box game and what it means for HH in general.

This is like asking if you should buy 40k as space hulk will be released soon.

It is a separate game that happens to use the same models.

Completely different rules to the FW books, which use regular WH40K rules.
