Quixus
Can somebody tell me what the weird propeller/fin thingy at the end of the old style missile launchers is supposed to be? It cannot be the fins of the projectile because then it would not fit through the tube and I cannot imagine a purpose for a propeller in that position. Charlo
You know how a missile launcher would have recoil, pushing you back from the force of firing it? Well the little propeller spins around and counteracts this force! :D No idea pal. Father Mehman
Actually, I think Charlo may be correct. Usually you don't have anything behind the missile tube because, you know, backwash of flames comes from there. Maybe this dissipates the heat and flames so it can be used with other legionnaires around. That's my two cents ! Marshal Rohr
The armor locks, so recoil won't be an issue. It's how the missiles cycle down through the magazine. Corswain
Cos it looks good. It's a game with toy soldiers set 30,000 years in the future. It doesn't need to make a lot of sense. If you don't like it you can always chop it off. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316153-old-school-missile-launchers/#findComment-4227816 Share on other sites
