rendingon1+
Sorry Hesh but Moritat does not benefit from Alpharius's PE. Lone Killer says that Moritat cannot benefit from "...other beneficial rules provided by friendly models...".Of course you can argue with your opponent about PE being "beneficial"... Otherwise there's no point in 2plsma - drakaina is what you want. Hesh Kadesh
Completely forgot that rule exists. I try not to swear, but whoever wrote the Moritat needs to :cussing have a word with themselves. SkimaskMohawk
Pretty sure they wanted to limit the reroll bs 5 chain fire dream, not that it's particularly effective since the plasma nerf Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316273-moritat-and-destroyers/page/2/#findComment-4230889 Share on other sites
Gorgoff
It is effective against Imperial Auxilia, Orks, Tyranids (the wee ones), Astra Militarum, Dark Eldar, Chaos Cultists and the rear amour of allmoust any vehicle there is. Against MEQ he is pretty meh, but so are lot's of other stuff too. In fact that is the most distinctive feature of them: they're tough. Would be an embarrisement if some douche with two pistols could ruin their day so easy. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316273-moritat-and-destroyers/page/2/#findComment-4230964 Share on other sites
depthcharge12
I tried deep striking them with jump packs to dump their load on an unfortunate TAC squad, but they did pretty piss poor (more likely my rolling). In a game where you have things like a Scorpius...they start to look really unattractive. I'd be willing to bet that you can get more out of two Scorpii than a loaded destroyer squad, but hey, I think they're pretty awesome. I've been trying to find an excuse to take them in a dreadclaw since I don't use a drop pod assault RoW. A regular pod would be the bees knees for them since they wouldn't have to get out, and could shoot a deadly barrage from it while protected. If their pod gets nuked, then they have counter assault and a bunch of other goodies to deter being assaulted. But I'm still going to find a way to stick them in my 1st legion Dreadwing dreadclaw list - aka "Yo dawg, we heard you like dread...so we put some dread in yo dread so you can cause fear, while you cause fear."
