Edict of Nikea - Imperial Fists

White Scars - They didn't know the outcome of Nikaea (bar a couple) until after the Heresy had already kicked off

Word Bearers - Didn't care because they'd already turned traitor well before Nikaea

No idea why Dorn decided to deal with his Librarians like he did. Out of universe, it's clearly for a plot point down the line.

Oh, I thought you actually wanted answers. You're just making up censored.gif to start an internet argument. Well have fun.

I still want answers - I haven't read everything (yet) and mayby there's some text about "special circumstances".

The only explenation of your behaviour I can see is that you don't like some facts and lack argument. That's terrible that Dorn is not as cool as you thought. Feel like Dark Angel.

Your existential angst at disliking the body of work surrounding your legion is your problem. Dorn obviously didn't do anything the Emperor or the powers over the Primarchs disapproved of, given he parked the Phalanx right over Terra for the duration of the Heresy. So it really doesn't matter if they were returned to the battle companies, since the Emperor or Malcador didn't say anything about imprisonment after the Fists returned to Terra. In fact, your whole point is invalid because Malcador had one of the Librarians busted out of the prison to be a knight errant. That's all the facts you need.

That's embarassing. You've seen the Edict and know how Dorn defied it. Yet you still deny. Malcador's project is not argument at all because he's above Edict of Nikaea or any other law. And there's no "existential angst" on my part - I know it's just a game and fiction. How about you?

You assuming he defied it because YOU determined he defied it. Not because any in universe authority said so. Just because you don't think he complied doesn't mean someone else in the universe didn't give it approval.

The World Eaters didn't care about the Nikea Edict even before they went Dark Side.

The "Angron no stop having Librarians" letter was just thrown on the pile of ignored paperwork atop the Red Angel's desk, alongside the "Angron no stop killing everybody every time you attack a world", "Angron plz try using tactics besides CHAAARGE", and "Angron no stop putting insanity boxes in your sons' brains" letters.

Considering the Emperor himself gave strict orders that dorn didnt follow....id say he defied it

There's a comment in one of the books where someone says something like "When have you ever known Dorn to not follow orders to it's extreme" not the right phrase but my head is a better dead at the moment, basically suggest Dorn follows orders but tends to overstep to the inevitable conclusion.

This is the quote I'm thinking of. Everyone in charge thought Dorn went farther than necessary to follow the edict, thus not denying it.

Unless you started writing for BL, all the quotes point towards Imperial Fists complying with the edict.
