Knight of the Raven
Hello, I have three questions about the new plastic set. Does anyone have a picture of a resin mkII shoulder pad and a plastic one side by side? Can the sternguard bolters be used with the mkIV arms or are their magazines too thick? How many studded shoulder pads are there in the box? Please and thank you. m_r_parker
Don't have it with me, but each Tactical sprue has 4 studded shoulder pads (so 12 in total for the box), and I would say that the resin MkII Pad has a more prominent trim than the plastic counterpart on the tactical spure. No idea on the use of Sternguard bolters I'm afraid. Halandaar
Can the sternguard bolters be used with the mkIV arms or are their magazines too thick? The main problem I'd see with this is that there's an overlapping plate on the forearms that the MKIV bolter hands sit behind: http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/q797/halandaar/Forge-World-Bitz-Horus-Heresy-Legion-MK-IV-Tactical-Squad-Armpaar-D_zpsybu3d2yv.jpg Given that several of the Sternguard Bolters have straps which drape over the wrists, some cutting work would be required to make them fit. Son of Carnelian
Because of the size the arm gauntlet that goes over the attached had to the bolters, the answer is no. The straps that are sculpted over the hands don't fit with the MKIV gauntlets. Knight of the Raven
Many thanks for the answers everyone! So I just need to prowl ebay for plastic crusade pauldrons or find a way to repair the eighteen I've damaged similarly (but much worse) to Dosjetka's. Black Cohort
You could easily cut the forearm plate back and say that it is under the strap on the sternguard bolter. Legionary Pallas
Or you could just cut the strap off. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316438-three-questions-about-betrayal-at-calth/#findComment-4236903 Share on other sites
