Chrome Paint

The thing with painting on something to achieve a chrome-effect is that the paint in question must have a very high pigment ratio or mica flakes or something (I forget the exact terminology). Iirc, Alclad is the one to look out for if you want a high-shine finish, although it might be a lacquer that they sell.

I recommend Vallejo's Liquid Silver. It's an alcohol-based paint so you'll need separate brushes. If it comes into contact with water before it fully cures it will rust - the pigment includes actual metal. I used it extensively for my Warlord Titan project over the summer.
