Morollan
Anyone know if there is a decent chrome paint out there? And by chrome, I'm talking Cylon-plus! Ideally I'd be looking for a bottle/pot rather than a spray. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316495-chrome-paint/ Share on other sites

Olis
The thing with painting on something to achieve a chrome-effect is that the paint in question must have a very high pigment ratio or mica flakes or something (I forget the exact terminology). Iirc, Alclad is the one to look out for if you want a high-shine finish, although it might be a lacquer that they sell. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316495-chrome-paint/#findComment-4236777 Share on other sites
CommodusXIII
I recommend Vallejo's Liquid Silver. It's an alcohol-based paint so you'll need separate brushes. If it comes into contact with water before it fully cures it will rust - the pigment includes actual metal. I used it extensively for my Warlord Titan project over the summer. Bung
Best i have heard are Alclad II paints, but they require an airbrush to have a good finish. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316495-chrome-paint/#findComment-4237480 Share on other sites
