Lanky27
Hey guys, so I've been looking to start an imperial militia list and am trying to fit a theme to it. Ultimately I'd like to theme them around an old one hundred regiment like the geno 5-2 chiliad or the thorosian voltigeurs. Catch is geno has already been done and I can't find any info on the thorosians, so any links or suggestions would be awesome. Alternatively I've been thinking how bout base the militia around a thunder warrior leader? I know it says most were killed after the unification or had a short life expectancy, however a few were unaccounted for. Would give me a great theme for power armour on a commander but still not astartes level. I'd assume provenance a would be survivors and something else? Anyways cheers Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316550-thunderwarriors-and-imperial-militia/ Share on other sites
Lanky27
After some thought and more research, it would seem thunder warriors were stronger and tougher than current astartes but had mental instability. Could they be better represented by the ogryn brute squads? Could have the entire militia represent an old one hundred regiment settled on a planet, then have some Thunder warriors as ogryns. That way I could run survivors of the dark age and gene crafted? Fenbain
After a discussion here on BaC, I use the Gal Vorbak rules for my Thunder Warriors (minus the deepstrike). I think the ogryn rules would work well but I'm not super into the gaming side of things.
