1850 White Scars

I have been procrastinating for a while now since doing my Imperial Fists and have decided to really start on my Scars. I would appreciate thoughts on my list. Plasma Cannons are not the best choice on Jetbikes I know but I'm lacking AP2 and a lot of the guys round here run terminators. I'm also a bit concerned about using double Raptors as I've only ever seen 1 fielded at any one time. Don't want to be that guy.

Second list option is a bit different. I really like the look of this one with the artillery but are people going to cry cheese with 2 whirlwinds in a Scars list? This one seems to be a bit more balanced.

Hmmm

 

One of your Tac Squads is down 10pts even though they're the same gear?

 

If you're really beholden to the Javelins keep them. Otherwise Normal Land Speeders with Graviton Guns might make for a better investment for Reliably Anti-Armour.

 

Scorpii are great, can't really go wrong.

 

If you really want more AT Punch, for this type of a list a Primaris wouldn't go amiss. Though that would mean cutting the Land Speeders and a few other toys.

 

As is, both lists could do quite well. The first has is the best equipped to handle Target Saturation Scenarios with the Second one being better vs Blobs or Medium Armored Mech Lists.

 

The main weakness is being able to deal with AV14 outside of Melta Bombs.

Sorry I didn't amend the points properly on the second list. So I had a play around with the list with your suggestions. What are your thoughts? Also I don't suppose you know when Forgeworld will be releasing a Primaris Lightning?

As is, you have most of your bases covered though you'll still have to be wary of Interceptor with your Planes.

Main Sources of Interceptor are usually Dreadnoughts such as the Deredeo and while they can be given Armored Ceramite, they rarely take it. Perhaps give one jetbike squad Multi Meltas instead to punch through its Av13 without relying on CC with Melta Bombs?

4 Is the best bet since you can shoot all 4 when you arrive. Any more than that and you'd have to wait a turn.

 

It also comes stock with a TL Lascannon so dont forget that.

 

I'd also aim for Ground Tracking Auguries (Bs5) and Battle Servitors (Tank Hunters) to help deal the damage.
