Xanthier
Hi guys. Working on a 2.5k list that enjoys templates and so far I have the following - +++ 30k Iron Warriors (2300pts) +++ ++ Legiones Astartes: Crusade Army List (Age of Darkness) ++ + HQ (115pts) + Legion Centurion - Siege Breaker Consul (115pts) [Artificer Armour, Refractor Field] + Troops (320pts) + Legion Tactical Squad (160pts) [9x Legion Tactical Space Marines, Nuncio Vox, 1x Legion Tactical Sergeant] Legion Tactical Squad (160pts) [9x Legion Tactical Space Marines, Nuncio Vox, 1x Legion Tactical Sergeant] + Elites (1385pts) + Contemptor Dreadnought Talon (410pts) 2x Contemptor Dreadnoughts [Two Close Combat Weapons, Two Graviton Guns] Legion Rapier Weapons Battery (225pts) 3x Legion Rapier Weapons Battery [Graviton Cannon] Tyrant Siege Terminator Squad (545pts) [9x Tyrant Terminators, 1x Tyrant Siege Master] + Heavy Support (685pts) + Legion Artillery Tank Squadron (465pts) 3x Legion Medusa Deredeo Pattern Dreadnought (220pts) [Aiolos Missile Launcher] ----------------------------------------------- I feel the large unit of Tyrants, combined with 7 graviton weapons should generally help with most armour, and I can either use the Medusas as nuncio-guided barrage or choose phosphex instead which I feel combines well with all the graviton blasts to make a lot of the battlefield dangerous going. The Tyrants can also put out a healthy amount of frag to help thin some infantry and the Contemptors can act as distractions, go punching tanks or generally getting in the way. The Deredeo covers my anti-air, though on it's own it looks a little vulnerable. This leaves me with a neat 200 points I'm not sure what to spend on. I could bolster the troops, add another contemptor (admittedly with only a single graviton gun) or Deredeo (without extra missiles, or switching the two nuncio voxes for them), a Fire raptor, a Sicaran, lots of options. I'm not too sure what other bases to cover really, so any input would be appreciated! Slips
With 200 you could give your Siege Breaker Cataphractii TDA and the Void Shield Harness Relic and glue him to the Tyrants to give them Tank Hunters. The Remaining ~150ish you can use to split the Dread Talon into 2 (4 Elites Slots) single-dread talons to give them drop pods. Any surplus points going into your Tac Squad Sarges being given Artificer Armor as Priority #1 and an Ap2 Power Weapon or Melta Bomb as Priority #2. Xanthier
Hmm, couldn't he still join the Tyrants even without Cataphractii armour? He was going to hide with them as is.
