WarriorFish
Needs a bit of cutting down and ready for priming, think the squad bases look great for a small plinth: Just a few hours to paint it up and get the background piece in, shouldn't be too hard... WarriorFish
My vow is complete! The plinth is ok, not awful for a first attempt but could have been better but overall I think he turned out quite well I was inspired to do a little bit more to him as I didn't want to get left behind so I've added some scribble script Made sure to get better pictures too so you can see the green: Background: Hidden Content The capture of the world Tenaphura from the grasp of xenos was a turning point in the campaign to drive them from the Emperor's worlds. In particular the large scale tank engagement over the plains known locally as the "Endless Walk" was seen as the moment the tide turned in the Imperium's favour. It was said the spirit of those in the Battle of Tallarn watched over the massed armour of the Imperial Guard as they fearlessly held against all odds, not giving an inch to the hated enemy. In honour of the many sacrifices a statue was raised of the Grand Commander Elsiakon, complete with his stirring pre-battle speech. When the greenskins tried to take the world back a mere century later the fighting spirit of those in the Battle of Tenaphura was said to aid the fight once more. That the statue received damage only to its front was seen as proof, for not a single of Elsiakon's tanks received even a scratch to any other part. In times since this has given rise to history of ever more brave tank crews keen to maintain the reputation of their world making the planet a popular place to raise a new armoured regiment, for where others may break the tanks of Tenaphura will stand and fight no matter the cost. Kierdale
And, as the granite and marble dust settles, mallets and chisels are set aside and the fumes of molten bronze dissipate, Pride of the Guard comes to an end. My deepest thanks to those who took part. For the record, here are the results: Mehman - withdrawn - our prayers are with the regimental priest for a quick recovery from Nurgle's blight. march10k - report to the commissariat at dawn tomorrow.
