Question about terminator librarian

Recommended Posts

Disclaimer: the model below belongs to Brushes and Boltguns, not to me, and is used only to show you what model I mean.

Can I use the old terminator librarian model in the Great Crusade or is he too post-Heresy for your suspension of disbelief? Note that I replaced his staff's aquila head with an axe blade.

Thats more of a Personal thing.

There are written instances of Legion Librarians wearing blue. Though it is by no means mandatory like 40k.

Is not even that mandatory in 40k either... Slightly more mandatory?

Thank you for the answers.

Don't paint him blue.

I painted him blue, but that's because he's a War Hound.

Shave off the Heretical Crux Terminatus and hes all good.

Is it possible to keep it and pretend it's a 'crux libris' with a horned skull reserved for librarians? I've already painted it and I like it a lot.

Personally I wouldn't`t see a problem with it smile.png the only thing would be the Aquila`s on the armour but that`s just me happy.png

Aquilae were also used before and during the heresy. It's only the Palatine Aquila that was EC/Emperor only.

Shave off the Heretical Crux Terminatus and hes all good.

Yup, the Crux was introduced later. Cf. Tartaros Pattern Armour vs. Legion Tartaros Terminators.

Hmmm ... So that type of TDA is ok for HH?

I might have to dig out more of my collection to use!!! biggrin.png

Yup Indomitus, Tartaros, Cataphractii and even some more obscure patterns were present during the Heresy.
