Comes in around 2435 in total, i have things i could obviously drop for some toys for the Centurion. Have thought about a Librarian, and i know Chaplain is the best choice, but i will be in a Calth/ Shadow Crusade Campaign for some time and a Chaplain feels weird to use. I would like some Variety, and if possible some more shiny toy units in there but I'm not sure what would suit the theme.

Let me know guys and girls.

Buy the Land Raider armoured ceramite. IMO its a must for them and greatly helps their survivability. My opinion on the Fulmentarus is that they are overpriced compared to the Tyrant termies, but they are alot of fun and good for glancing AV 14 vehicles to death in a single round due to tank hunters. You might want to put an extra heavy bolter in each of the vet tactical squads so they can both shoot out of the top hatch. Otherwise it looks solid, good luck for the campaign smile.png !

Jump pack, Arti armour, refractor field (or boarding shield to mess with the counter charge if you deep strike in) and Charnabel Sabre? I'm thinking maybe a duellist to eat challenges and maybe get some lucky rends against praetor level characters. Also, what is the point of the terminator squad? I'd consider dropping them to get more Locaturus and kit out the centurion and all the other little upgrades.

A Champion would be a great idea I think, especially in that sort of squad. I would like that.

The point of the Terminator squad is to provide 2 TDNA units that both have different objectives in the game. The Fulmentarus to destroy armour in shooting and melee and the regular to mince through PA and such and score.

A couple things jump out at me, and some of them are strictly opinion so take what I say with a grain of salt.

1. Praetor looks sweet. If you have the points you could do worse than upgrade that AA into the Mantle of Ultramar, but it's far from an auto-include. As is, he's a cheap and effective killer, who will hold his own in a challenge with most everything.

2. Suzerain make a nice bodyguard for him. Only thing I'd recommend is adding at least one thunderhammer to the squad, to help your praetor bring down the heavy hitters.

3. If you're looking to run your Centurion with your Locutarus, and you aren't thrilled with a Chaplain, my picks would be Champion, Primus Medicae, or Forgelord. Champion has already been discussed, so I'll stick to the later two. Primus Medicae is always a good choice, particularly in squads that are guaranteed to see some combat up-close. Give him a boarding shield and keep him out of challenges, and watch him keep your boys upright when they should lay down and die. Forgelord would be a nice addition as well, and his rad grenades will soften up whatever your Locutarus squad is trying to kill. Also, when properly equipped he's a formidable duelist, who can tank challenges so your Strike Leader doesn't have to.

4. I LOVE terminators. They're my favorite part of any Space Marine army, and I always have at least one unit in every list I build. So understand how much it pains me to say this: drop your vanilla terminator squad. 30K isn't 40K - it's very hard on terminators. It's full of nasty stuff that can easily take out terminators, and without deep striking, storm shields or a transport, your 5 man terminator squad will get picked off long before they can do any meaningful damage to your opponent. If you're going to run terminators in 30K, and you're not Imperial Fists, Salamanders, or Night Lords, you need to get them transportation. If you're not going to do that, you should drop them and use those points to beef up your Centurion and your other squads as Praefectus Invictus suggested. If you insist on keeping them (which I would totally understand msn-wink.gif), take more than five, put them in transport, and give at least the Sergeant a chainfist to help punch through all that armoured ceramite you're going to be running into.

5. Your Veteran squads look good. I would just echo Praefectus Invictus again on adding that second Heavy Bolter (especially if you're running Sniper tactics), and giving the sergeant a power fist or melta bombs depending on how many points you have and personal taste.

6. Contemptor Mortis with dual Kheres is always a good option. Strong choice with a lot of versatility.

7. I'd max out the Locutarus to a full ten man squad. Drop the hand flamer and the plasma pistol on your Strike Leader, give him a power fist and combat shield, and put that plasma pistol on one of the regulars. Other than that, looks good to me.

8. I think the Fulmentarus terminators are awesome. However, awesome does not = super effective. I think they're a finesse unit. Used wisely, they can be devastating. Used poorly, and you've wasted a lot of points on a white elephant. Give them the Cyclone Missile Launchers, and give your squad a nice mix of power fists, axes, and mauls, and you can handle most threats both at close and long range. However, they aren't the wrecking crew that Tyrant Siege Terminators are, so don't expect them to be. If you're looking for a durable backfield shooter, look at the Deredeo. In my experience, it's one of the few units I've run that has never underperformed. Coupled with your Mortis Contemptor, it will definitely provide all the dakka you could possibly need.

9. Predators look good. I'd consider a Sicaran Tank or a Vindicator (or both) instead, but that's just my preference.

Thanks Carnivore! Great tips.

On those notes, I have kind of mind up my mind that it's going to be a Librarian until such a time that something else jumps out at me. Only because I can model him on the Librarian from UM.

The Vetern Squads are going to have different weapons now, one squad will have double Heavy Bolter and the other maybe double Plasma. Just to maximise and not mix.

The Terminators will be dropped I think. I do love them, and do have the models, but you're right. They aren't doing much at all.

The Locarustus will be upped to Mac squad I think. And I will probably look at the Fulmentarus squad as I'm not sure, without the models from FW, I want to convert that many Cyclone Missile Launchers. Or buy them.

Deredeos are fantastic and I did have one before I got mega broken so I could always rebuy one.
