Knight Angels
Im working on a custom HQ to play with my local gaming group. it is basically a dark angels interrogator chaplain with a trike, standing in the sidecar while be driven by a marine. i will post pictures when im done. the question ist now how many points you think is the trike worth? As said its like a normal bike but with plus one lifepoint for the biker and the chaplain can fire his boltgun and also the driver his bolters. There is no plus one attack or something else so really just + 1lp + 1 shooting. The bike as an upgrade costs 20 pts. How much are the additional benefits worth? Is 10 enough? Thank you Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316823-chaplain-trike-custom-hq/ Share on other sites
Jazzhands
Standard cost for an attack bike is 45. Take off 10 for heavy bolter and let the driver have his attack Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316823-chaplain-trike-custom-hq/#findComment-4244800 Share on other sites
Stormxlr
Standard cost for an attack bike is 45. Take off 10 for heavy bolter and let the driver have his attack Thats how I would do it. +1 Wound accounted Driver aswell. So 90 points for Chaplain + 35 for Attack bike. Knight Angels
And of course the driver hits at ws4 s4 ds- then? So two different attacks from the chaplain and the driver? Jazzhands
So just roll them separately Also its going to look awesome Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316823-chaplain-trike-custom-hq/#findComment-4245179 Share on other sites
march10k
~shrug~ I don't know why you would need/want to deal with all that. I'd just run it as a standard biker chaplain, BS5 bolters and no driver attacks...still an awesome model. I'm planning basically the opposite, where the chaplain is the part of the model that's just aesthetic license: I'm going to do a darkshroud where the assault cannon is relocated to the chin and the gunner's platform serves as a pulpit for an interrogator-chaplain. Jazzhands
Yeah that is of course the easiest way lol. I'd be happy to play against either. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316823-chaplain-trike-custom-hq/#findComment-4245438 Share on other sites
Knight Angels
Im a bit afraid of the larger trike getting stucked. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316823-chaplain-trike-custom-hq/#findComment-4245444 Share on other sites
Knight Angels
so here is the "relict-trike" edit / OT: how do i insert large size pictures? Tygwyn
That looks like an awesome chariot of Righteous Death to me! I'm away from my books at the moment, but there is a 'Chariot' vehicle type isn't there? Would it 'add' anything to this Badass Trike of Redemption? Knight Angels
Uff, great idea but after reading the rules i think it will produce huge discussions about the profil and point costs and so on. Ill better stick to the bike/trike-stats. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316823-chaplain-trike-custom-hq/#findComment-4246022 Share on other sites

Knight Angels
Thank you for the kind words. Can someone pm me how to insert pictures so that they appear larger? Hidicul
Thank you for the kind words. Can someone pm me how to insert pictures so that they appear larger? Im too stupid to get it done. ^^ Don't worry about it, simply tapping the pics makes them bigger. I may have to steal this idea if I get another chaplain for my RW Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316823-chaplain-trike-custom-hq/#findComment-4246423 Share on other sites

shabbadoo
Looks pretty good! Rules-wise I would run it as bike for simplicity. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316823-chaplain-trike-custom-hq/#findComment-4246509 Share on other sites
Brother Dark
Outstanding (get it....groan) Nice innovation on chappy bike, certainly first time ive seen something like this. I would also, out of simplicity, run it as a chappy bike and ignore potential rule scuffables Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316823-chaplain-trike-custom-hq/#findComment-4246899 Share on other sites
Knight Angels
Thank you. But dont you think the bigger trike is a big disadvantage because of dangerous terrain tests? Ok he get a 3+/5+fnp in the rwcs but its still huge if he loses a lp that way. We usually tend to play with lots of diff. terrain ^^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316823-chaplain-trike-custom-hq/#findComment-4246908 Share on other sites
Hidicul
I don't normally worry about diff terrain personally, and honestly can't tell you the last time I lost a bike, jump infantry or immobilized a skimmer because of it. The chances of rolling a one then failing both armour and FNP is slim. I think just running him as a chappy on a bike is the way to go, it's what I'd do anyways. Knight Angels
Would you say that +1 lp is worth 20 points? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316823-chaplain-trike-custom-hq/#findComment-4247413 Share on other sites
Jazzhands
If he is with a rwcs then he gets skilled rider and automatically passes dangerous terrain tests Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/316823-chaplain-trike-custom-hq/#findComment-4248037 Share on other sites
Punk possum
Looking good, that's two different takes on a trike chaplain I've seen tonight and I like both of them! I'm with Hidicul on what to run him as just a regular biker chaplain saves a lot of wrangling.
