Souldrinkers: SPOILERS..advise before I continue with it...

Hi All

 

For those of you that may have invested in reading this series...I got to a point which I find difficult to process and causes me pause whether continue with this or not..

 

I do not want to spoil this for potential new readers but

 

 

 

Please tell me already if the spiderman powers that they renegades seem to inherit will die a quick painful death or am I going to be stuck with Spider Marines until this finishes?

Sarpedon, the Librarian/Chapter Master with spider legs is a major character in all of the books. If that bothers you then I would recommend you not continue the series.

The Souldrinkers are a very Mary Sue marine chapter.  The spider legs are just the start of the problems with the series.

Now the funny thing is I thought I'd switch to the Grey Knight series,,,but that is Ben Counter as well...

 

Are they reasonable or will they grow bat ears and is silliness just a general trademark....

It's a hot mess of getting chaos gifts, but not actually falling to chaos, combined with throwing off the yoke of the Imperium but not actually being bad guys, with the addition of having their own personal Space Hulk as a home base.  And at the end of it all they're vindicated.

 

 

They're not the worst Mary Sues who ever Mary Sued, but they're... annoying.

 

The first two GK books are OK, the third is derp.  Well, the character development/arc in the third is derp, the setting is actually somewhat interesting.
